but if it [ be ] a daughter <1323 bath > , then she shall

: 17 But the midwives <3205 yalad > feared <3372 yare> > God

melek > of Egypt <4714 Mitsrayim > commanded <1696 dabar > them ,
but saved <2421 chayah > the men children <3206 yeled > alive

: 18 And the king <4428 melek > of Egypt <4714 Mitsrayim >

: 7 Then said <0559 >amar > his sister <0269 > achowth > to
Pharaoh s <6547 Par<oh > daughter <1323 bath > , Shall I go
<3212 yalak > and call <7121 qara> > to thee a nurse <3243 yanaq
> of the Hebrew <5680 <Ibriy > women , that she may nurse <3243
yanaq > the child <3206 yeled > for thee ?

: 8 And Pharaoh s <6547 Par<oh > daughter <1323 bath > said
<0559 >amar > to her , Go <3212 yalak > . And the maid <5959
<almah > went <3212 yalak > and called <7121 qara> > the child s
<3206 yeled > mother <0517 >em > .

: 9 And Pharaoh s <6547 Par<oh > daughter <1323 bath > said
<0559 >amar > unto her , Take <3212 yalak > this <2088 zeh >
child <3206 yeled > away , and nurse <3243 yanaq > it for me ,
and I will give <5414 nathan > [ thee ] thy wages < 7939 sakar
> . And the woman <0802 >ishshah > took <3947 laqach > the

: 10 And the child <3206 yeled > grew <1431 gadal > , and she
brought <0935 bow> > him unto Pharaoh s <6547 Par< oh > daughter
<1323 bath > , and he became <1961 hayah > her son <1121 ben > .
And she called <7121 qara> > his name <8034 shem > Moses <4872
Mosheh > : and she said <0559 >amar > , Because < 3588 kiy > I
drew <4871 mashah > him out of the water <4325 mayim > .

: 11 . And it came <1961 hayah > to pass in those < 1992 hem >
days <3117 yowm > , when Moses <4872 Mosheh > was grown <1431
gadal > , that he went <3318 yatsa> > out unto his brethren
<0251 >ach > , and looked <7200 ra>ah > on their burdens <5450

strove <5327 natsah > together : and he said <0559 > amar > to

their father <1> , he said <0559 >amar > , How <4069 madduwa<
> [ is it that ] ye are come <0935 bow> > so soon <4116 mahar

: 19 And they said <0559 >amar > , An Egyptian < 4713 Mitsriy >
delivered <5337 natsal > us out of the hand <3027 yad > of the
shepherds <7462 ra<ah > , and also <1571 gam > drew <1802 dalah
> [ water ] enough for us , and watered <8248 shaqah > the
flock <6629 tso>n > .

: 20 And he said <0559 >amar > unto his daughters < 1121 ben > ,
And where <0346 >ayeh > [ is ] he ? why <4100 mah > [ is ]
it [ that ] ye have left <5800 <azab > the man < 0376 >iysh > ?
call <7121 qara> > him , that he may eat <0398 > akal > bread

: 21 And Moses <4872 Mosheh > was content <2974 ya> al > to
dwell <3427 yashab > with the man <0376 >iysh > : and he gave
<5414 nathan > Moses <4872 Mosheh > Zipporah <3855 Lahad > his
daughter <1323 bath > .

: 22 And she bare <3205 yalad > [ him ] a son <1121 ben > ,
and he called <7121 qara> > his name <8034 shem > Gershom <1648

hayah > a stranger <1616 ger > in a strange <5237 nokriy > land

ben > of Israel <3478 Yisra>el > sighed <0584 > anach > by reason
<4480 min > of the bondage <5656 <abodah > , and they cried

: 6 Moreover he said <0559 >amar > , I [ am ] the God <0430

Abraham <85> , the God <0430 >elohiym > of Isaac <3327 Yitschaq
> , and the God <0430 >elohiym > of Jacob <3290 Ya<aqob > .

will send <7971 shalach > thee unto Pharaoh <6547 Par< oh > ,
that thou mayest bring <3318 yatsa> > forth <3318 yatsa> > my

<0430 >elohiym > , Who <4310 miy > [ am ] I , that I should
go <3212 yalak > unto Pharaoh <6547 Par<oh > , and that I
