And unto the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church <1577- ekklesia-> in Sardis <4554-Sardeis-> write <1125- grapho->; These <3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> he that hath <2192-echo-> the seven <2033-hepta-> Spirits <4151-pneuma-> of God <2316- theos->, and the seven <2033-hepta-> stars <0792- aster->; I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, that thou hast <2192-echo- > a name <3686-onoma-> that thou livest <2198-zao-> , and art <1488-ei-> dead <3498-nekros->. 2 Be watchful <1127-gregoreuo->, and strengthen < 4741- sterizo-> the things which remain <3062-loipoy->, that are ready <3195-mello-> to die <0599-apothnesko->: for I have not found <2147-heurisko-> thy works <2041-ergon-> perfect < 4137-pleroo-> before <1799-enopion-> God <2316-theos->. 3 Remember <3421-mnemoneuo-> therefore <3767-oun- > how <4459-pos-> thou hast received <2983-lambano-> and heard <0191- akouo->, and hold <5083-tereo-> fast, and repent < 3340-metanoeo- >. And unto the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church <1577- ekklesia-> of the Laodiceans <2994-Laodikeus-> write < 1125- grapho->; These <3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego- > the Amen <0281-amen->, the faithful <4103-pistos-> and true <0228- alethinos-> witness <3144-martus->, the beginning < 0746-arche-> of the creation <2937-ktisis-> of God <2316-theos->; 15 I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, that thou art <1488-ei-> neither <3777-oute-> cold <5593- psuchros-> nor <3777-oute-> hot <2200-zestos->: I would <3785- ophelon-> thou wert <1498-eien-> cold <5593-psuchros-> or <2228-e- > hot <2200- zestos->. 16 So <3779-houto-> then because <3754-hoti-> thou art <1488-ei-> lukewarm <5513-chliaros->, and neither < 3777-oute-> cold <5593-psuchros-> nor <3777-oute-> hot <2200- zestos->, I will <3195-mello-> spue <1692-emeo-> thee out of my mouth <4750- stoma->. 17 Because <3754-hoti-> thou sayest <3004-lego-> , I am <1510-eimi-> rich <4145-plousios->, and increased < 4147-plouteo- > with goods <4147-plouteo->, and have <2192-echo-> need <5532- chreia-> of nothing <3762-oudeis->; and knowest <1492- eido-> not that thou art <1488-ei-> wretched <5005-talaiporos->, and miserable <1652-eleeinos->, and poor <4434-ptochos->, and blind <5185-tuphlos->, and naked <1131-gumnos->: 18 I counsel <4823-sumbouleuo-> thee to buy <0059- agorazo- > of me gold <5553-chrusion-> tried <4448-puroo-> in the fire <4442-pur->, that thou mayest be rich <4147-plouteo->; and white <3022-leukos-> raiment <2440-himation->, that thou mayest be clothed <4016-periballo->, and [that] the shame <0152- aischune-> of thy nakedness <1132-gumnotes-> do not appear <5319- phaneroo->; and anoint <1472-egchrio-> thine <4675-sou-> eyes <3788- ophthalmos-> with eyesalve <2854-kollourion->, that thou mayest see <0991-blepo->. 19 As many <3745-hosos-> as I love <5368-phileo- >, I rebuke <1651-elegcho-> and chasten <3811-paideuo->: be zealous <2206-zeloo-> therefore <3767-oun->, and repent < 3340-metanoeo->. 20 Behold <2400-idou->, I stand <2476-histemi-> at <1909- epi-> the door <2374-thura->, and knock <2925-krouo- >: if <1437- ean-> any <5100-tis-> man hear <0191-akouo-> my voice <5456- phone->, and open <0455-anoigo-> the door <2374-thura- >, I will come <1525-eiserchomai-> in to him, and will sup <1172- deipneo-> with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh <3528-nikao-> will I grant <1325- didomi-> to sit <2523-kathizo-> with me in my throne < 2362- thronos->, even <2504-kago-> as I also <2504-kago-> overcame <3528-nikao->, and am set <2523-kathizo-> down < 2523-kathizo-> with my Father <3962-pater-> in his throne <2362-thronos- >. 22 He that hath <2192-echo-> an ear <3775-ous->, let him hear <0191-akouo-> what <5101-tis-> the Spirit < 4151-pneuma-> saith <3004-lego-> unto the churches <1577-ekklesia->.
