CHAPTER 6:1 And I saw <G 1492> when <G 3753> the Lamb <G 0721> opened <G 0455> one <G 3391> of the seals <G 4973>, and I heard <G 0191>, as it were the noise <G 5456> of thunder <G 1027>, one <G 1520> of the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226> saying <G 3004>, Come <G 2064> and see <G 0991>. :2 And I saw <G 1492>, and behold <G 2400> a white <G 3022> horse <G 2462>: and he that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> him had <G 2192> a bow <G 5115>; and a crown <G 4735> was given <G 1325> unto him: and he went <G 1831> forth <G 1831> conquering <G 3528>, and to conquer <G 3528>. :3 And when <G 3753> he had opened <G 0455> the second <G 1208> seal <G 4973>, I heard <G 0191> the second <G 1208> beast <G 2226> say <G 3004>, Come <G 2064> and see <G 0991>. :4 And there went <G 1831> out another <G 0243> horse <G 2462> [that was] red <G 4450>: and [power] was given <G 1325> to him that sat <G 2521> thereon <G 0846> to take <G 2983> peace <G 1515> from the earth <G 1093>, and that they should kill <G 4969> one <G 0240> another <G 0240>: and there was given <G 1325> unto him a great <G 3173> sword <G 3162>. :5 And when <G 3753> he had opened <G 0455> the third <G 5154> seal <G 4973>, I heard <G 0191> the third <G 5154> beast <G 2226> say <G 3004>, Come <G 2064> and see <G 0991>. And I beheld <G 1492>, and lo <G 2400> a black <G 3189> horse <G 2462>; and he that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> him had <G 2192> a pair <G 2218> of balances <G 3976> in his hand <G 5495>. :6 And I heard <G 0191> a voice <G 5456> in the midst <G 3319> of the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226> say <G 3004>, A measure < G 5518> of wheat <G 4621> for a penny <G 1220>, and three <G 5140> measures <G 5518> of barley <G 2915> for a penny <G 1220>; and [see] thou hurt <G 0091> not the oil <G 1637> and the wine <G 3631>. :7 And when <G 3753> he had opened <G 0455> the fourth <G 5067> seal <G 4973>, I heard <G 0191> the voice <G 5456> of the fourth < G 5067> beast <G 2226> say <G 3004>, Come <G 2064> and see <G 0991>. :8 And I looked <G 1492>, and behold <G 2400> a pale <G 5515> horse <G 2462>: and his name <G 3686> that sat <G 2521> on <G 1883> him was Death <G 2288>, and Hell <G 0086> followed <G 0190> with him. And power <G 1849> was given <G 1325> unto them over <G 1909> the fourth <G 5067> part of the earth <G 1093>, to kill <G 0615> with sword <G 4501>, and with hunger <G 3042>, and with death <G 2288>, and with the beasts <G 2342> of the earth <G 1093>. :9 And when <G 3753> he had opened <G 0455> the fifth <G 3991> seal <G 4973>, I saw <G 1492> under <G 5270> the altar <G 2379> the souls <G 5590> of them that were slain <G 4969> for the word <G 3056> of God < G 2316>, and for the testimony <G 3141> which <G 3739> they held <G 2192>: :10 And they cried <G 2896> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456>, saying <G 3004>, How <G 2193> long <G 2193>, O Lord <G 1203>, holy <G 0040> and true <G 0228>, dost thou not judge <G 2919> and avenge <G 1556> our blood <G 0129> on <G 1909> them that dwell <G 2730> on <G 1909> the earth <G 1093>? :11 And white <G 3022> robes <G 4749> were given < G 1325> unto every <G 1538> one of them; and it was said <G 4483> unto them, that they should rest <G 0373> yet <G 2089> for a little <G 3398> season <G 5550>, until <G 2193> their fellowservants <G 4889> also <G 2532> and their brethren <G 0080>, that should <G 3195> be killed <G 0615> as they [were], should be fulfilled <G 4137>. :12 And I beheld <G 1492> when <G 3753> he had opened <G 0455> the sixth <G 1623> seal <G 4973>, and, lo <G 2400>, there was a great <G 3173> earthquake <G 4578>; and the sun <G 2246> became <G 1096> black <G 3189> as sackcloth <G 4526> of hair <G 5155>, and the moon <G 4582> became <G 1096> as blood <G 0129>; :13 And the stars <G 0792> of heaven <G 3772> fell <G 4098> unto the earth <G 1093>, even as a fig <G 4808> tree <G 4808> casteth <G 0906> her untimely <G 3653> figs <G 3653>, when she is shaken <G 4579> of a mighty <G 3173> wind <G 0417>. :14 And the heaven <G 3772> departed <G 0673> as a scroll <G 0975> when it is rolled <G 1507> together; and every <G 3956> mountain <G 3735> and island <G 3520> were moved <G 2795> out of their places <G 5117>. :15 And the kings <G 0935> of the earth <G 1093>, and the great <G 3175> men, and the rich <G 4145> men, and the chief <G 5506> captains <G 5506>, and the mighty <G 1415> men, and every <G 3956> bondman <G 1401>, and every <G 3956> free <G 1658> man, hid <G 2928> themselves <G 1438> in the dens <G 4693> and in the rocks <G 4073> of the mountains <G 3735>; :16 And said <G 3004> to the mountains <G 3735> and rocks <G 4073>, Fall <G 4098> on <G 1909> us, and hide <G 2928> us from the face <G 4383> of him that sitteth <G 2521> on <G 1909> the throne <G 2362> , and from the wrath <G 3709> of the Lamb <G 0721>: :17 For the great <G 3173> day <G 2250> of his wrath <G 3709> is come <G 2064>; and who <G 5101> shall be able <G 1410> to stand < G 2476>?
