CHAPTER 11:1 And there was given <G 1325> me a reed <G 2563> like <G 3664> unto a rod <G 4464>: and the angel <G 0032> stood <G 2476>, saying <G 3004>, Rise <G 1453>, and measure <G 3354> the temple <G 3485> of God <G 2316>, and the altar <G 2379>, and them that worship <G 4352> therein <G 0846>. :2 But the court <G 0833> which <G 3588> is without <G 1855> the temple <G 3485> leave <G 1544> out, and measure <G 3354> it not; for it is given <G 1325> unto the Gentiles <G 1484>: and the holy <G 0040> city <G 4172> shall they tread <G 3961> under foot forty <G 5062> [and] two <G 1417> months <G 3376>. :3 And I will give <G 1325> [power] unto my two <G 1417> witnesses <G 3144>, and they shall prophesy <G 4395> a thousand <G 5507> two <G 1250> hundred <G 1250> [and] threescore <G 1835> days <G 2250>, clothed <G 4016> in sackcloth <G 4526>. :4 These <G 3778> are the two <G 1417> olive <G 1636> trees, and the two <G 1417> candlesticks <G 3087> standing <G 2476> before <G 1799> the God <G 2316> of the earth <G 1093>. :5 And if <G 1487> any <G 1536> man will <G 2309> hurt <G 0091> them, fire <G 4442> proceedeth <G 1607> out of their mouth <G 4750>, and devoureth <G 2719> their enemies <G 2190>: and if <G 1487> any <G 1536> man will <G 2309> hurt <G 0091> them, he must <G 1163> in this <G 3779> manner <G 3779> be killed <G 0615>. :6 These <G 3778> have <G 2192> power <G 1849> to shut <G 2808> heaven <G 3772>, that it rain <G 5205> not in the days <G 2250> of their prophecy <G 4394>: and have <G 2192> power <G 1849> over <G 1909> waters <G 5204> to turn <G 4672> them to blood <G 0129>, and to smite <G 3960> the earth <G 1093> with all <G 3956> plagues <G 4127>, as often <G 3740> as they will <G 2309>. :7 And when <G 3752> they shall have finished <G 5055> their testimony <G 3141>, the beast <G 2342> that ascendeth <G 0305> out of the bottomless <G 0012> pit shall make <G 4160> war <G 4171> against <G 3326> them, and shall overcome <G 3528> them, and kill <G 0615> them. :8 And their dead <G 4430> bodies <G 4430> [shall lie] in the street <G 4113> of the great <G 3173> city <G 4172>, which <G 3748> spiritually <G 4153> is called <G 2564> Sodom <G 4670> and Egypt <G 0125>, where <G 3699> also <G 2532> our Lord <G 2962> was crucified <G 4717>. :9 And they of the people <G 2992> and kindreds <G 5443> and tongues <G 1100> and nations <G 1484> shall see <G 0991> their dead <G 4430> bodies <G 4430> three <G 5140> days <G 2250> and an half <G 2255>, and shall not suffer <G 0863> their dead <G 4430> bodies <G 4430> to be put <G 5087> in graves <G 3418>. :10 And they that dwell <G 2730> upon the earth <G 1093> shall rejoice <G 5463> over <G 1909> them, and make <G 2165> merry <G 2165>, and shall send <G 3992> gifts <G 1435> one <G 0240> to another <G 0240>; because <G 3754> these <G 3778> two <G 1417> prophets <G 4396> tormented <G 0928> them that dwelt <G 2730> on <G 1909> the earth <G 1093>. :11 And after <G 3326> three <G 5140> days <G 2250> and an half <G 2255> the Spirit <G 4151> of life <G 2222> from God <G 2316> entered <G 1525> into <G 1909> them, and they stood <G 2476> upon their feet < G 4228>; and great <G 3173> fear <G 5401> fell <G 4098> upon them which saw <G 2334> them. :12 And they heard <G 0191> a great <G 3173> voice <G 5456> from heaven <G 3772> saying <G 3004> unto them, Come <G 0305> up hither <G 5602>. And they ascended <G 0305> up to heaven <G 3772> in a cloud <G 3507>; and their enemies <G 2190> beheld <G 2334> them. :13 And the same <G 1565> hour <G 5610> was there a great <G 3173> earthquake <G 4578>, and the tenth <G 1182> part of the city < G 4172> fell <G 4098>, and in the earthquake <G 4578> were slain <G 0615> of men <G 0444> seven <G 2033> thousand <G 5505>: and the remnant <G 3062> were affrighted <G 1719>, and gave <G 1325> glory <G 1391> to the God <G 2316> of heaven <G 3772>. :14 The second <G 1208> woe <G 3759> is past <G 0565>; [and], behold <G 2400>, the third <G 5154> woe <G 3759> cometh <G 2064> quickly <G 5035>. :15 And the seventh <G 1442> angel <G 0032> sounded <G 4537>; and there were great <G 3173> voices <G 5456> in heaven <G 3772>, saying <G 3004>, The kingdoms <G 0932> of this <G 5026> world <G 2889> are become <G 1096> [the kingdoms <G 0932>] of our Lord <G 2962>, and of his Christ <G 5547>; and he shall reign <G 0936> for ever <G 0165> and ever <G 0165>. :16 And the four <G 5064> and twenty <G 1501> elders <G 4245>, which <G 3588> sat <G 2521> before <G 1799> God <G 2316> on <G 1909> their seats <G 2362>, fell <G 4098> upon their faces <G 4383>, and worshipped <G 4352> God <G 2316>, :17 Saying <G 3004>, We give thee thanks <G 2168>, O Lord <G 2962> God <G 2316> Almighty <G 3841>, which <G 3588> art <G 5607>, and wast <G 2258>, and art to come <G 2064>; because <G 3754> thou hast taken <G 2983> to thee thy great <G 3173> power <G 1411>, and hast reigned <G 0936>. :18 And the nations <G 1484> were angry <G 3710>, and thy wrath <G 3709> is come <G 2064>, and the time <G 2540> of the dead < G 3498>, that they should be judged <G 2919>, and that thou shouldest give <G 1325> reward <G 3408> unto thy servants <G 1401> the prophets <G 4396>, and to the saints <G 0040>, and them that fear <G 5399> thy name <G 3686>, small <G 3398> and great <G 3173>; and shouldest destroy <G 1311> them which destroy <G 1311> the earth <G 1093>. |
