CHAPTER 12:1 And there appeared <G 3700> a great <G 3173> wonder <G 4592> in heaven <G 3772>; a woman <G 1135> clothed <G 4016> with the sun <G 2246>, and the moon <G 4582> under <G 5270> her feet <G 4228>, and upon her head <G 2776> a crown <G 4735> of twelve <G 1427> stars <G 0792>: :2 And she being <G 2192> with child <G 1064> cried <G 2896>, travailing <G 5605> in birth <G 5605>, and pained <G 0928> to be delivered <G 5088>. :3 And there appeared <G 3700> another <G 0243> wonder <G 4592> in heaven <G 3772>; and behold <G 2400> a great <G 3173> red <G 4450> dragon <G 1404>, having <G 2192> seven <G 2033> heads <G 2776> and ten <G 1176> horns <G 2768>, and seven <G 2033> crowns <G 1238> upon his heads <G 2776>. :4 And his tail <G 3769> drew <G 4951> the third < G 5154> part of the stars <G 0792> of heaven <G 3772>, and did cast <G 0906> them to the earth <G 1093>: and the dragon <G 1404> stood <G 2476> before <G 1799> the woman <G 1135> which <G 3588> was ready <G 3195> to be delivered <G 5088>, for to devour <G 2719> her child <G 5043> as soon <G 3752> as it was born <G 5088>. :5 And she brought <G 5088> forth <G 5088> a man < G 0730> child <G 5207>, who <G 3739> was to rule <G 4165> all <G 3956> nations <G 1484> with a rod <G 4464> of iron <G 4603>: and her child <G 5043> was caught <G 0726> up unto God <G 2316>, and [to] his throne <G 2362>. :6 And the woman <G 1135> fled <G 5343> into <G 1519> the wilderness <G 2048>, where <G 3699> she hath <G 2192> a place <G 5117> prepared <G 2090> of God <G 2316>, that they should feed <G 5142> her there <G 1563> a thousand <G 5507> two <G 1417> hundred <G 1250> [and] threescore <G 1835> days <G 2250>. :7 And there was war <G 4171> in heaven <G 3772>: Michael <G 3413> and his angels <G 0032> fought <G 4170> against <G 2596> the dragon <G 1404>; and the dragon <G 1404> fought <G 4170> and his angels <G 0032>, :8 And prevailed <G 2480> not; neither <G 3777> was their place <G 5117> found <G 2147> any <G 2089> more <G 2089> in heaven <G 3772>. :9 And the great <G 3173> dragon <G 1404> was cast <G 0906> out, that old <G 0744> serpent <G 3789>, called <G 2564> the Devil <G 1228>, and Satan <G 4567>, which <G 3588> deceiveth <G 4105> the whole <G 3650> world <G 3625>: he was cast <G 0906> out into <G 1519> the earth <G 1093>, and his angels <G 0032> were cast <G 0906> out with him. :10 And I heard <G 0191> a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456> saying <G 3004> in heaven <G 3772>, Now <G 0737> is come <G 1096> salvation <G 4991>, and strength <G 1411>, and the kingdom <G 0932> of our God <G 2316>, and the power <G 1849> of his Christ <G 5547>: for the accuser <G 2723> of our brethren <G 0080> is cast <G 2598> down <G 2598>, which <G 3588> accused <G 2725> them before <G 1799> our God <G 2316> day <G 2250> and night < G 3571>. :11 And they overcame <G 3528> him by the blood <G 0129> of the Lamb <G 0721>, and by the word <G 3056> of their testimony <G 3141>; and they loved <G 0025> not their lives <G 5590> unto the death <G 2288>. :12 Therefore <G 5124> rejoice <G 2165>, [ye] heavens <G 3772>, and ye that dwell <G 4637> in them. Woe <G 3759> to the inhabiters <G 2730> of the earth <G 1093> and of the sea <G 2281>! for the devil <G 1228> is come <G 2597> down <G 2597> unto you, having <G 2192> great <G 3173> wrath <G 2372>, because he knoweth <G 1492> that he hath <G 2192> but a short <G 3641> time <G 2540>. :13 And when <G 3753> the dragon <G 1404> saw <G 1492> that he was cast <G 0906> unto the earth <G 1093>, he persecuted <G 1377> the woman <G 1135> which <G 3748> brought <G 5088> forth <G 5088> the man <G 0730> [child]. :14 And to the woman <G 1135> were given <G 1325> two <G 1417> wings <G 4420> of a great <G 3173> eagle <G 0105>, that she might fly <G 4072> into <G 1519> the wilderness <G 2048>, into <G 1519> her place < G 5117>, where <G 3699> she is nourished <G 5142> for a time <G 2540>, and times < G 2540>, and half <G 2255> a time <G 2540>, from the face <G 4383> of the serpent <G 3789>. :15 And the serpent <G 3789> cast <G 0906> out of his mouth <G 4750> water <G 5204> as a flood <G 4215> after <G 3694> the woman <G 1135>, that he might cause <G 4160> her to be carried <G 4216> away of the flood <G 4216>. :16 And the earth <G 1093> helped <G 0997> the woman <G 1135>, and the earth <G 1093> opened <G 0455> her mouth <G 4750>, and swallowed <G 2666> up the flood <G 4215> which <G 3739> the dragon <G 1404> cast < G 0906> out of his mouth <G 4750>. :17 And the dragon <G 1404> was wroth <G 3710> with the woman <G 1135>, and went <G 0565> to make <G 4160> war <G 4171> with the remnant <G 3062> of her seed <G 4690>, which <G 3588> keep <G 5083> the commandments <G 1785> of God <G 2316>, and have <G 2192> the testimony <G 3141> of Jesus <G 2424> Christ <G 5547>.
