CHAPTER 14:1 And I looked <G 1492>, and, lo <G 2400>, a Lamb <G 0721> stood <G 2476> on <G 1909> the mount <G 3735> Sion <G 4622>, and with him an hundred <G 1540> forty <G 5062> [and] four <G 5064> thousand <G 5505>, having <G 2192> his Father's <G 3962> name <G 3686> written <G 1125> in their foreheads <G 3359>. :2 And I heard <G 0191> a voice <G 5456> from heaven <G 3772>, as the voice <G 5456> of many <G 4183> waters <G 5204>, and as the voice <G 5456> of a great <G 3173> thunder <G 1027>: and I heard <G 0191> the voice <G 5456> of harpers <G 2790> harping <G 2789> with their harps <G 2788>: :3 And they sung <G 0103> as it were a new <G 2537> song <G 5603> before <G 1799> the throne <G 2362>, and before <G 1799> the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226>, and the elders <G 4245>: and no <G 3762> man <G 3762> could <G 1410> learn <G 3129> that song <G 5603> but the hundred < G 1540> [and] forty <G 5062> [and] four <G 5064> thousand <G 5505>, which <G 3588> were redeemed <G 0059> from the earth <G 1093>. :4 These <G 3778> are they which <G 3739> were not defiled <G 3435> with women <G 1135>; for they are virgins <G 3933>. These <G 3778> are they which <G 3588> follow <G 0190> the Lamb <G 0721> whithersoever <G 0302> he goeth <G 5217>. These <G 3778> were redeemed <G 0059> from among men <G 0444>, [being] the firstfruits <G 0536> unto God <G 2316> and to the Lamb <G 0721>. :5 And in their mouth <G 4750> was found <G 2147> no <G 3756> guile <G 1388>: for they are without <G 0299> fault <G 0299> before <G 1799> the throne <G 2362> of God <G 2316>. :6 And I saw <G 1492> another <G 0243> angel <G 0032> fly <G 4072> in the midst <G 3321> of heaven <G 3321>, having <G 2192> the everlasting <G 0166> gospel <G 2098> to preach <G 2097> unto them that dwell <G 2730> on <G 1909> the earth <G 1093>, and to every <G 3956> nation <G 1484>, and kindred <G 5443>, and tongue <G 1100>, and people <G 2992>, :7 Saying <G 3004> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456>, Fear <G 5399> God <G 2316>, and give <G 1325> glory <G 1391> to him; for the hour <G 5610> of his judgment <G 2920> is come <G 2064>: and worship <G 4352> him that made <G 4160> heaven <G 3772>, and earth <G 1093>, and the sea < G 2281>, and the fountains <G 4077> of waters <G 5204>. :8 And there followed <G 0190> another <G 0243> angel <G 0032>, saying <G 3004>, Babylon <G 0897> is fallen <G 4098>, is fallen <G 4098>, that great <G 3173> city <G 4172>, because <G 3754> she made < G 4222> all <G 3956> nations <G 1484> drink <G 4222> of the wine <G 3631> of the wrath <G 2372> of her fornication <G 4202>. :9 And the third <G 5154> angel <G 0032> followed <G 0190> them, saying <G 3004> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456>, If < G 1487> any <G 1536> man worship <G 4352> the beast <G 2342> and his image <G 1504>, and receive <G 2983> [his] mark <G 5480> in his forehead <G 3359>, or <G 2228> in his hand <G 5495>, :10 The same <G 0846> shall drink <G 4095> of the wine <G 3631> of the wrath <G 2372> of God <G 2316>, which <G 3588> is poured <G 2767> out without <G 0194> mixture <G 0194> into <G 1722> the cup <G 4221> of his indignation <G 3709>; and he shall be tormented <G 0928> with fire <G 4442> and brimstone <G 2303> in the presence <G 1799> of the holy <G 0040> angels <G 0032>, and in the presence <G 1799> of the Lamb <G 0721>: :11 And the smoke <G 2586> of their torment <G 0929> ascendeth <G 0305> up for ever <G 0165> and ever <G 0165>: and they have <G 2192> no <G 3756> rest <G 0372> day <G 2250> nor <G 2532> night <G 3571>, who <G 3588> worship <G 4352> the beast <G 2342> and his image <G 1504>, and whosoever <G 3156> receiveth <G 2983> the mark <G 5480> of his name <G 3686>. :12 Here <G 5602> is the patience <G 5281> of the saints <G 0040>: here <G 5602> [are] they that keep <G 5083> the commandments < G 1785> of God <G 2316>, and the faith <G 4102> of Jesus <G 2424>. :13 And I heard <G 0191> a voice <G 5456> from heaven <G 3772> saying <G 3004> unto me, Write <G 1125>, Blessed <G 3107> [are] the dead <G 3498> which <G 3588> die <G 0599> in the Lord <G 2962> from henceforth < G 0534>: Yea <G 3483>, saith <G 3004> the Spirit <G 4151>, that they may rest < G 0373> from their labours <G 2873>; and their works <G 2041> do follow <G 0190> them. :14 And I looked <G 1492>, and behold <G 2400> a white <G 3022> cloud <G 3507>, and upon the cloud <G 3507> [one] sat <G 2521> like <G 3664> unto the Son <G 5207> of man <G 0444>, having <G 2192> on <G 1909> his head <G 2776> a golden <G 5552> crown <G 4735>, and in his hand <G 5495> a sharp <G 3691> sickle <G 1407>. :15 And another <G 0243> angel <G 0032> came <G 1831> out of the temple <G 3485>, crying <G 2896> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456> to him that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> the cloud <G 3507>, Thrust <G 3992> in thy sickle <G 1407>, and reap <G 2325>: for the time <G 5610> is come < G 2064> for thee to reap <G 2325>; for the harvest <G 2326> of the earth <G 1093> is ripe <G 3583>. :16 And he that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> the cloud <G 3507> thrust <G 0906> in his sickle <G 1407> on <G 1909> the earth <G 1093>; and the earth <G 1093> was reaped <G 2325>. :17 And another <G 0243> angel <G 0032> came <G 1831> out of the temple <G 3485> which <G 3588> is in heaven <G 3772>, he also <G 2532> having <G 2192> a sharp <G 3691> sickle <G 1407>. |
