into the wilderness <4057 midbar > , and speak <1696 dabar >
comfortably unto her .

: 15 And I will give <5414 nathan > her her vineyards < 3754
kerem > from thence <8033 sham > , and the valley < 6010 <emeq >
of Achor <5911 <Alowr > for a door <6607 pethach > of hope <8615
tiqvah > : and she shall sing <6030 <anah > there < 8033 sham > ,
as in the days <3117 yowm > of her youth <5271 na< uwr > , and
as in the day <3117 yowm > when she came <5927 <alah > up out of

: 16 And it shall be at that day <3117 yowm > , saith < 5002

: 17 For I will take <5493 cuwr > away <5493 cuwr > the names
<8034 shem > of Baalim <1168 Ba<al > out of her mouth <6310 peh
> , and they shall no <3808 lo> > more <5750 < owd > be
remembered <2142 zakar > by their name <8034 shem > .

: 18 And in that day <3117 yowm > will I make <3772 karath > a
covenant <1285 b@riyth > for them with the beasts <2416 chay >
of the field <7704 sadeh > , and with the fowls <5775 <owph >
of heaven <8064 shamayim > , and [ with ] the creeping <7431
remes > things of the ground <0127 >adamah > : and I will break

: 19 And I will betroth <0781 >aras > thee unto me for ever

mishpat > , and in lovingkindness <2617 checed > , and in
mercies <7356 racham > .

: 20 I will even betroth <0781 >aras > thee unto me in
faithfulness <0530 >emuwnah > : and thou shalt know < 3045 yada<

: 21 And it shall come <1961 hayah > to pass in that day <3117
yowm > , I will hear <6030 <anah > , saith <5002 n@>um > the
LORD <3068 Y@hovah > , I will hear <6030 <anah > the heavens

Yisra>el > : for the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > hath a controversy
<7379 riyb > with the inhabitants <3427 yashab > of the land

>ayin > truth <0571 >emeth > , nor <0369 > ayin > mercy <2617
checed > , nor <0369 >ayin > knowledge <1847 da<ath > of God

: 2 By swearing <0422 >alah > , and lying <3584 kachash > ,
and killing <7523 ratsach > , and stealing <1589 ganab > , and
committing <5003 na>aph > adultery <5003 na>aph > , they break

: 3 Therefore shall the land <0776 >erets > mourn < 56> , and

that strive <7378 riyb > with the priest <3548 kohen > .

: 5 Therefore shalt thou fall <3782 kashal > in the day <3117
yowm > , and the prophet <5030 nabiy> > also < 1571 gam > shall
fall <3782 kashal > with thee in the night <3915 layil > , and
I will destroy <1820 damah > thy mother <0517 >em > .

: 6 . My people <5971 <am > are destroyed <1820 damah > for
lack <1097 b@liy > of knowledge <1847 da<ath > : because <3588
kiy > thou hast rejected <3988 ma>ac > knowledge < 1847 da<ath > ,
I will also reject <3988 ma>ac > thee , that thou shalt be no
priest <3547 kahan > to me : seeing thou hast forgotten < 7911

: 7 As they were increased <7230 rob > , so <3651 ken > they

people <5971 <am > , and they set <5375 nasa> > their heart

: 9 And there shall be , like people <5971 <am > , like
priest <3548 kohen > : and I will punish <6485 paqad > them for
their ways <1870 derek > , and reward <7725 shuwb > them their

: 10 For they shall eat <0398 >akal > , and not have enough
<7644 Shebna> > : they shall commit <2181 zanah > whoredom <2181
zanah > , and shall not increase <6555 parats > : because <3588

: 11 Whoredom <2184 z@nuwth > and wine <3196 yayin > and new

: 12 . My people <5971 <am > ask <7592 sha>al > counsel at
their stocks <6086 <ets > , and their staff <4731 maqqel >
declareth <5046 nagad > unto them : for the spirit <7307 ruwach
> of whoredoms <2183 zanuwn > hath caused [ them ] to err
<8582 ta<ah > , and they have gone a whoring <2181 zanah > from
under <8478 tachath > their God <0430 >elohiym > .

: 13 They sacrifice <2076 zabach > upon the tops <7218 ro>sh >
of the mountains <2022 har > , and burn <6999 qatar > incense

tachath > oaks <0437 >allown > and poplars <3839 libneh > and

: 18 Their drink <5435 cobe> > is sour <5493 cuwr > : they have
committed <2181 zanah > whoredom <2181 zanah > continually : her
rulers <4043 magen > [ with ] shame <7036 qalown > do love

: 19 The wind <7307 ruwach > hath bound <6887 tsarar > her up
in her wings <3671 kanaph > , and they shall be ashamed <0954

therefore shall Israel <3478 Yisra>el > and Ephraim < 0669

LORD <3068 Y@hovah > ; but they shall not find <4672 matsa> >
