3. Blessed <2128-eulogetos-> [be] God <2316-theos->, even <2532-
kai-> the Father <3962-pater-> of our Lord <2962- kurios-> Jesus

of mercies <3628-oiktirmos->, and the God <2316-theos- > of all

4 Who <3588-ho-> comforteth <3870-parakaleo-> us in all <3650-
holos-> our tribulation <2347-thlipsis->, that we may be able
<1410-dunamai-> to comfort <3870-parakaleo-> them which are in
any <3956-pas-> trouble <2347-thlipsis->, by the comfort <3874-
paraklesis-> wherewith <3739-hos-> we ourselves are comforted
<3870-parakaleo-> of God <2316-theos->.



5 For as the sufferings <3804-pathema-> of Christ <5547-
Christos-> abound <4052-perisseuo-> in us, so <3779- houto-> our
consolation <3874-paraklesis-> also <2532-kai-> aboundeth <4052-
perisseuo-> by Christ <5547-Christos->.



6 And whether <1535-eite-> we be afflicted <2346-thlibo- >, [it
is] for your <5216-humon-> consolation <3874-paraklesis- > and
salvation <4991-soteria->, which <3588-ho-> is effectual <1754-
energeo-> in the enduring <5281-hupomone-> of the same <0846-

that we were pressed <0916-bareo-> out of measure <5236-
huperbole->, above <5228-huper-> strength <1411- dunamis->,
insomuch <5620-hoste-> that we despaired <1820- exaporeomai->

9 But we had <2192-echo-> the sentence <0610-apokrima- > of
death <2288-thanatos-> in ourselves <1438-heautou->, that we
should not trust <3982-peitho-> in ourselves <1438- heautou->,
but in God <2316-theos-> which <3588-ho-> raiseth < 1453-egeiro->
the dead <3498-nekros->:



10 Who delivered <4506-rhoumai-> us from so <5082- telikoutos->
great <5082-telikoutos-> a death <2288-thanatos->, and doth
deliver <4506-rhoumai->: in whom <3739-hos-> we trust <1679-
elpizo-> that he will yet <2089-eti-> deliver <4506- rhoumai->
[us];



11 Ye also <2532-kai-> helping <4943-sunupourgeo-> together
<4943-sunupourgeo-> by prayer <1162-deesis-> for us, that for
the gift <5486-charisma-> [bestowed] upon us by the means of
many <4183-polus-> persons <4383-prosopon-> thanks <2168-
eucharisteo-> may be given by many <4183-polus-> on < 5228-huper-
> our behalf <5228-huper->.



12. For our rejoicing <2746-kauchesis-> is this <3778- houtos->,
the testimony <3142-marturion-> of our conscience <4893-
suneidesis->, that in simplicity <0572-haplotes-> and godly
<2316-theos-> sincerity <1505-eilikrineia->, not with fleshly
<4559-sarkikos-> wisdom <4678-sophia->, but by the grace <5485-
charis-> of God <2316-theos->, we have had our conversation

allos-> things unto you, than <2228-e-> what <3739- hos-> ye read

and I trust <1679-elpizo-> ye shall acknowledge <1921- epiginosko-

14 As also <2532-kai-> ye have acknowledged <1922- epignosis->
us in part <3313-meros->, that we are your <5216-humon- >
rejoicing <2745-kauchema->, even <2509-kathaper-> as ye also
<2532-kai-> [are] ours <2257-hemon-> in the day < 2250-hemera->
of the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->.



15. And in this <5026-taute-> confidence <4006- pepoithesis-> I
was minded <1014-boo-lom-ahee-> to come <2064-erchomai- > unto
you before <4386-proteron->, that ye might have <2192- echo-> a
second <1208-deuteros-> benefit <5485-charis->;



16 And to pass <1330-dierchomai-> by you into <1519-eis- >
Macedonia <3109-Makedonia->, and to come <2064-erchomai- > again
<3825-palin-> out of Macedonia <3109-Makedonia-> unto you, and
of you to be brought <4311-propempo-> on my way <4311- propempo->
toward <1519-eis-> Judaea <2449-Ioudaia->.



17 When I therefore <3767-oun-> was thus <5124-touto- > minded
<1011-bouleuo->, did I use <5530-chraomai-> lightness <1644-
elaphria->? or <2228-e-> the things that I purpose < 1011-bouleuo-
>, do I purpose <1011-bouleuo-> according <2596-kata- > to the
flesh <4561-sarx->, that with me there should be yea < 3483-nai->
yea <3483-nai->, and nay <3756-ou-> nay <3756-ou- >?



18 But [as] God <2316-theos-> [is] true <4103-pistos- >, our
word <3056-logos-> toward <4314-pros-> you was not yea <3483-nai-
> and nay <3756-ou->.



19 For the Son <5207-huios-> of God <2316-theos->, Jesus <2424-
Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos->, who <3588-ho-> was preached
<2784-kerusso-> among <1722-en-> you by us, [even] by me and
Silvanus <4610-Silouanos-> and Timotheus <5095-Timotheos- >, was
not yea <3483-nai-> and nay <3756-ou->, but in him was yea <3483-
nai->.



20 For all <3745-hosos-> the promises <1860-epaggelia- > of God
<2316-theos-> in him [are] yea <3483-nai->, and in him Amen
<0281-amen->, unto the glory <1391-doxa-> of God < 2316-theos->
by us.



21 Now <1161-de-> he which stablisheth <0950-bebaioo- > us with
you in Christ <5547-Christos->, and hath anointed <5548- chrio->
us, [is] God <2316-theos->;



22 Who <3588-ho-> hath also <2532-kai-> sealed < 4972-sphragizo-
> us, and given <1325-didomi-> the earnest <0728- arrhabon-> of

23 Moreover <1161-de-> I call <1941-epikaleomai-> God <2316-
theos-> for a record <3144-martus-> upon my soul < 5590-psuche->,
that to spare <5339-pheidomai-> you I came <2064- erchomai-> not
as yet <3765-ouketi-> unto Corinth <2882-Korinthos->.



24 Not for that we have dominion <2961-kurieuo-> over your
<5216-humon-> faith <4102-pistis->, but are helpers <4904-
sunergos-> of your <5216-humon-> joy <5479-chara->: for by faith
<4102-pistis-> ye stand <2476-histemi->.



2Corinthians 2



1. But I determined <2919-krino-> this <5124-touto-> with
myself <1683-emautou->, that I would not come <2064- erchomai->
again <3825-palin-> to you in heaviness <3077-lupe->.



2 For if <1487-ei-> I make <3076-lupeo-> you sorry <3076-lupeo-
>, who <5101-tis-> is he then <2532-kai-> that maketh <2165-
euphraino-> me glad <2165-euphraino->, but the same which is
made <3076-lupeo-> sorry <3076-lupeo-> by me?



3 And I wrote <1125-grapho-> this <5124-touto-> same <0846-
autos-> unto you, lest <3361-me->, when I came <2064- erchomai->,
I should have <2192-echo-> sorrow <3077-lupe-> from them of whom
<3739-hos-> I ought <1163-dei-> to rejoice <5463- chairo->;
having confidence <3982-peitho-> in you all <3956-pas- >, that my
joy <5479-chara-> is [the joy] of you all <3956-pas->.



4 For out of much <4183-polus-> affliction <2347- thlipsis-> and
anguish <4928-sunoche-> of heart <2588-kardia-> I wrote <1125-
grapho-> unto you with many <4183-polus-> tears <1144- dakru->;
not that ye should be grieved <3076-lupeo->, but that ye might

perissoteros-> unto you.



5. But if <1487-ei-> any <5100-tis-> have caused < 3076-lupeo->
grief <3076-lupeo->, he hath not grieved <3076-lupeo-> me, but
in part <3313-meros->: that I may not overcharge <1912- epibareo-
> you all <3956-pas->.



6 Sufficient <2425-hikanos-> to such <5108-toioutos-> a man
[is] this <3778-houtos-> punishment <2009-epitimia->, which
<3588-ho-> [was inflicted] of many <4119-pleion->.



7 So <5620-hoste-> that contrariwise <5121-tounantion- > ye
[ought] rather <3123-mallon-> to forgive <5483- charizomai->
[him], and comfort <3870-parakaleo-> [him], lest <3381- mepos->
perhaps <3381-mepos-> such <5108-toioutos-> a one should be
swallowed <2666-katapino-> up with overmuch <4055- perissoteros->
sorrow <3077-lupe->.



8 Wherefore <1352-dio-> I beseech <3870-parakaleo-> you that ye
would confirm <2964-kuroo-> [your] love <0026-agape-> toward
<1519-eis-> him.



9 For to this <5124-touto-> end also <2532-kai-> did I write
<1125-grapho->, that I might know <1097-ginosko-> the proof
<1382-dokime-> of you, whether <1487-ei-> ye be obedient <5255-
hupekoos-> in all <3956-pas-> things.



10 To whom <3739-hos-> ye forgive <5483-charizomai-> any <5100-
tis-> thing, I [forgive <5483-charizomai->] also < 2532-kai->:
for if <1487-ei-> I forgave <5483-charizomai-> any <1536-ei tis-
> thing, to whom <3739-hos-> I forgave <5483- charizomai-> [it],
for your <5209-humas-> sakes [forgave I it] in the person <4383-
prosopon-> of Christ <5547-Christos->;



11 Lest <3361-me-> Satan <4567-Satanas-> should get <4122-
pleonekteo-> an advantage <4122-pleonekteo-> of us: for we are
not ignorant <0050-agnoeo-> of his devices <3540-noema- >.



12. Furthermore <1161-de->, when I came <2064-erchomai- > to
Troas <5174-Troas-> to [preach] Christ's <5547-Christos- > gospel
<2098-euaggelion->, and a door <2374-thura-> was opened <0455-
anoigo-> unto me of the Lord <2962-kurios->,



13 I had <2192-echo-> no <3756-ou-> rest <0425- anesis-> in my
spirit <4151-pneuma->, because I found <2147-heurisko- > not
Titus <5103-Titos-> my brother <0080-adephos->: but taking my
leave <0657-apotassomai-> of them, I went <1831- exerchomai->
from thence into <1519-eis-> Macedonia <3109-Makedonia- >.



14 Now <1161-de-> thanks <5485-charis-> [be] unto God <2316-
theos->, which always <3842-pantote-> causeth <2358- thriambeuo->
us to triumph <2358-thriambeuo-> in Christ <5547- Christos->, and
maketh <5319-phaneroo-> manifest <5319-phaneroo-> the savour
<3744-osme-> of his knowledge <1108-gnosis-> by us in every
<3956-pas-> place <5117-topos->.



15 For we are unto God <2316-theos-> a sweet <2175- euodia->
savour <2175-euodia-> of Christ <5547-Christos->, in them that
are saved <4982-sozo->, and in them that perish <0622- apollumi->:



16 To the one <3303-men-> [we are] the savour <3744- osme-> of
death <2288-thanatos-> unto death <2288-thanatos->; and to the
other <3739-hos-> the savour <3744-osme-> of life < 2222-zoe->
unto life <2222-zoe->. And who <5101-tis-> [is] sufficient <2425-
hikanos-> for these <5023-tauta-> things?



17 For we are not as many <4183-polus->, which corrupt < 2585-
kapeleuo-> the word <3056-logos-> of God <2316-theos- >: but as
of sincerity <1505-eilikrineia->, but as of God <2316- theos->,
in the sight <2714-katenopion-> of God <2316-theos-> speak <2980-
laleo-> we in Christ <5547-Christos->.



2Corinthians 3



1. Do we begin <0756-archomai-> again <3825-palin-> to commend
<4921-sunistao-> ourselves <1438-heautou->? or < 3361-me-> need
<5535-chreizo-> we, as some <5100-tis-> [others], epistles <1992-
epistole-> of commendation <4956-sustatikos-> to you, or <2228-e-
> [letters] of commendation <4956-sustatikos-> from you?



2 Ye are our epistle <1992-epistole-> written <1449- eggrapho->
in our hearts <2588-kardia->, known <1097-ginosko-> and read
<0314-anaginosko-> of all <3956-pas-> men <0444- anthropos->:



3 [Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly <5319-phaneroo-> declared
<5319-phaneroo-> to be the epistle <1992-epistole-> of Christ
<5547-Christos-> ministered <1247-diakoneo-> by us, written
<1449-eggrapho-> not with ink <3188-melan->, but with the Spirit

5 Not that we are sufficient <2425-hikanos-> of ourselves <1438-
heautou-> to think <3049-logizomai-> any <5100-tis- > thing as of
ourselves <1438-heautou->; but our sufficiency <2426- hikanotes->
[is] of God <2316-theos->;



6. Who <3739-hos-> also <2532-kai-> hath made < 2427-hikanoo->
us able <2427-hikanoo-> ministers <1249-diakonos-> of the new
<2537-kainos-> testament <1242-diatheke->; not of the letter
<1121-gramma->, but of the spirit <4151-pneuma->: for the letter
<1121-gramma-> killeth <0615-apokteino->, but the spirit <4151-
pneuma-> giveth life <2227-zoopoieo->.



7 But if <1487-ei-> the ministration <1248-diakonia-> of death
<2288-thanatos->, written <1121-gramma-> [and] engraven <1795-
entupoo-> in stones <3037-lithos->, was glorious < 1391-doxa->,
so <5620-hoste-> that the children <5207-huios-> of Israel <2474-
Israel-> could <1410-dunamai-> not stedfastly <0816- atenizo->
behold <0816-atenizo-> the face <4383-prosopon-> of Moses <3475-

condemnation <2633-katakrisis-> [be] glory <1391-doxa- >, much
<4183-polus-> more <3123-mallon-> doth the ministration <1248-
diakonia-> of righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> exceed <4052-
perisseuo-> in glory <1391-doxa->.



10 For even <2532-kai-> that which was made <1392- doxazo->
glorious <1392-doxazo-> had no <3761-oude-> glory < 1392-doxazo->
in this <5129-toutoi-> respect <3313-meros->, by reason <1752-
heneka-> of the glory <1391-doxa-> that excelleth < 5235-
huperballo->.



11 For if <1487-ei-> that which is done <2673-katargeo- > away
<2673-katargeo-> [was] glorious <1391-doxa->, much <4183-polus->
more <3123-mallon-> that which remaineth <3306-meno-> [is]
glorious <1391-doxa->.



12. Seeing then <3767-oun-> that we have <2192-echo-> such
<5108-toioutos-> hope <1680-elpis->, we use <5530- chraomai->
great <4183-polus-> plainness <3954-parrhesia-> of speech:



13 And not as Moses <3475-Moseus->, [which] put <5087- tithemi->
a vail <2571-kaluma-> over <1909-epi-> his face < 4383-prosopon->,
that the children <5207-huios-> of Israel <2474-Israel- > could
not stedfastly <0816-atenizo-> look <0816-atenizo-> to the end

14 But their minds <3540-noema-> were blinded <4456- poroo->:
for until <0891-achri-> this <4594-semeron-> day < 4594-semeron->
remaineth <3306-meno-> the same <0846-autos-> vail <2571-kaluma-

15 But even <2193-heos-> unto this <4594-semeron-> day <4594-
semeron->, when <2259-henika-> Moses <3475-Moseus-> is read
<0314-anaginosko->, the vail <2571-kaluma-> is upon their heart
<2588-kardia->.



16 Nevertheless <1161-de-> when <2259-henika-> it shall turn
<1994-epistrepho-> to the Lord <2962-kurios->, the vail <2571-
kaluma-> shall be taken <4014-periaireo-> away <4014- periaireo->.



17 Now <1161-de-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> is that Spirit <4151-
pneuma->: and where <3757-hou-> the Spirit <4151- pneuma-> of the
Lord <2962-kurios-> [is], there <1563-ekei-> [is] liberty <1657-
eleutheria->.



18 But we all <3956-pas->, with open <0343-anakalupto- > face
<4383-prosopon-> beholding <2734-katoptrizomai-> as in a glass
<2734-katoptrizomai-> the glory <1391-doxa-> of the Lord <2962-
kurios->, are changed <3339-metamorphoo-> into the same <0846-
autos-> image <1504-eikon-> from glory <1391-doxa-> to glory
<1391-doxa->, [even] as by the Spirit <4151-pneuma-> of the Lord

2Corinthians 4



1. Therefore <5124-touto-> seeing we have <2192-echo- > this
<5026-taute-> ministry <1248-diakonia->, as we have received
<1653-eleeo-> mercy <1653-eleeo->, we faint <1573- ekkakeo-> not;



2 But have renounced <0550-apeipomen-> the hidden <2927- kruptos-
> things of dishonesty <0152-aischune->, not walking < 4043-
peripateo-> in craftiness <3834-panourgia->, nor < 3366-mede->
handling <1389-doloo-> the word <3056-logos-> of God <2316-theos-
> deceitfully <1389-doloo->; but by manifestation < 5321-
phanerosis-> of the truth <0225-aletheia-> commending <4921-
sunistao-> ourselves <1438-heautou-> to every <3956- pas-> man's
<0444-anthropos-> conscience <4893-suneidesis-> in the sight

3 But if <1499-ei kai-> our gospel <2098-euaggelion-> be hid
<2572-kalupto->, it is hid <2572-kalupto-> to them that are lost
<0622-apollumi->:



4 In whom <3739-hos-> the god <2316-theos-> of this <5127-
toutou-> world <0165-aion-> hath blinded <5186- tuphloo-> the
minds <3540-noema-> of them which believe <0571-apistos- > not,
lest <3361-me-> the light <5462-photismos-> of the glorious

5 For we preach <2784-kerusso-> not ourselves <1438- heautou->,

servants <1401-doulos-> for Jesus <2424-Iesous->' sake.



6 For God <2316-theos->, who <3588-ho-> commanded <2036-epo->
the light <5457-phos-> to shine <2989-lampo-> out of darkness
<4655-skotos->, hath shined <2989-lampo-> in our hearts <2588-
kardia->, to [give] the light <5462-photismos-> of the knowledge
<1108-gnosis-> of the glory <1391-doxa-> of God < 2316-theos-> in
the face <4383-prosopon-> of Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-
Christos->.



7 But we have <2192-echo-> this <5126-touton-> treasure <2344-
thesauros-> in earthen <3749-ostrakinos-> vessels < 4632-skeuos->,
that the excellency <5236-huperbole-> of the power < 1411-
dunamis-> may be of God <2316-theos->, and not of us.



8. [We are] troubled <2346-thlibo-> on <1722-en-> every <3956-
pas-> side, yet <0235-alla-> not distressed <4729- stenochoreo->;
[we are] perplexed <0639-aporeo->, but not in despair < 1820-
exaporeomai->;



9 Persecuted <1377-dioko->, but not forsaken <1459- egkataleipo-
>; cast <2598-kataballo-> down <2598-kataballo->, but not
destroyed <0622-apollumi->;



10 Always <3842-pantote-> bearing <4064-periphero-> about <4064-
periphero-> in the body <4983-soma-> the dying <3500- nekrosis->

11 For we which <3588-ho-> live <2198-zao-> are alway <0104-aei-
> delivered <3860-paradidomi-> unto death <2288- thanatos-> for
Jesus <2424-Iesous->' sake, that the life <2222-zoe-> also <2532-
kai-> of Jesus <2424-Iesous-> might be made <5319- phaneroo->
manifest <5319-phaneroo-> in our mortal <2349-thnetos- > flesh

12 So <5620-hoste-> then <3303-men-> death <2288- thanatos->
worketh <1754-energeo-> in us, but life <2222-zoe-> in you.



13 We having <2192-echo-> the same <0846-autos-> spirit <4151-
pneuma-> of faith <4102-pistis->, according <2596- kata-> as it
is written <1125-grapho->, I believed <4100-pisteuo->, and
therefore <1352-dio-> have I spoken <2980-laleo->; we also <2532-
kai-> believe <4100-pisteuo->, and therefore <1352- dio-> speak

14 Knowing <1492-eido-> that he which raised <1453- egeiro-> up
the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> shall raise <1453-
