strateuomai-> entangleth <1707-empleko-> himself with the

7 Consider <3539-noieo-> what <3739-hos-> I say < 3004-lego->;
and the Lord <2962-kurios-> give <1325-didomi-> thee

8. Remember <3421-mnemoneuo-> that Jesus <2424-Iesous- > Christ
<5547-Christos-> of the seed <4690-sperma-> of David <1138-Dabid-

9 Wherein <3757-hou-> I suffer <2553-kakopatheo-> trouble <2553-

12 If <1487-ei-> we suffer <5278-hupomeno->, we shall also

deny <0720-arneomai-> us:

13 If <1487-ei-> we believe <0569-apisteo-> not, [yet] he

14. Of these <5023-tauta-> things put <5279- hupomimnesko->
[them] in remembrance <5279-hupomimnesko->, charging < 1263-

kurios-> that they strive <3054-logomacheo-> not about words

15 Study <4704-spoudazo-> to shew <3936-paristemi-> thyself

not to be ashamed <0422-anepaischuntos->, rightly dividing <3718-

vain <2757-kenophonia-> babblings <2757-kenophonia->: for they

17 And their word <3056-logos-> will eat <2192-echo-> as doth a
canker <1044-gaggraina->: of whom <3739-hos-> is Hymenaeus <5211-
Humenaios-> and Philetus <5372-Philetos->;

18 Who <3748-hostis-> concerning <4012-peri-> the truth <0225-
aletheia-> have erred <0795-astocheo->, saying <3004- lego-> that
the resurrection <0386-anastasis-> is past <1096-ginomai- >
already <2235-ede->; and overthrow <0397-anatrepho-> the faith

19. Nevertheless <3305-mentoi-> the foundation <2310- themelios-
> of God <2316-theos-> standeth <2476-histemi-> sure <4731-
stereos->, having <2192-echo-> this <5026-taute-> seal <4973-
sphragis->, The Lord <2962-kurios-> knoweth <1097- ginosko-> them
that are his. And, Let every <3956-pas-> one that nameth <3687-
onomazo-> the name <3686-onoma-> of Christ <5547- Christos->
depart <0868-aphistemi-> from iniquity <0093-adikia->.

20 But in a great <3173-megas-> house <3614-oikia-> there are
not only <3440-monon-> vessels <4632-skeuos-> of gold <5552-
chruseos-> and of silver <0693-argureos->, but also < 2532-kai->
of wood <3585-xulinos-> and of earth <3749-ostrakinos- >; and
some <3588-ho-> to honour <5092-time->, and some < 3588-ho-> to
dishonour <0819-atimia->.

21 If <1437-ean-> a man <5100-tis-> therefore < 3767-oun-> purge
<1571-ekkathairo-> himself <1438-heautou-> from these <5130-
touton->, he shall be a vessel <4632-skeuos-> unto honour <5092-
time->, sanctified <0037-hagiazo->, and meet <2173- euchrestos->
for the master's <1203-despotes-> use, [and] prepared < 2090-
hetoimazo-> unto every <3956-pas-> good <0018-agathos- > work

22. Flee <5343-pheugo-> also <1161-de-> youthful < 3512-
neoterikos-> lusts <1939-epithumia->: but follow < 1377-dioko->
righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->, faith <4102-pistis-> , charity
<0026-agape->, peace <1515-eirene->, with them that call <1941-

mache->.

24 And the servant <1401-doulos-> of the Lord <2962- kurios->
must <1163-dei-> not strive <3164-machomai->; but be gentle

25 In meekness <4236-praiotes-> instructing <3811- paideuo->
those <3588-ho-> that oppose <0475-antidiatithemai-> themselves;

will give <1325-didomi-> them repentance <3341-metanoia- > to the

26 And [that] they may recover <0366-ananepho-> themselves out

wise <4679-sophizo-> unto salvation <4991-soteria-> through

2 Preach <2784-kerusso-> the word <3056-logos->; be instant
