CHAPTER 5 :1 And I saw <G 1492> in the right <G 1188> hand ofhim that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> the throne <G 2362> a book <G 0975> written <G 1125> within <G 2081> and on < G 1909> the backside <G 3693>, sealed <G 2696> with seven <G 2033> seals <G 4973>. :2 And I saw <G 1492> a strong <G 2478> angel <G 0032> proclaiming <G 2784> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456>, Who <G 5101> is worthy <G 0514> to open <G 0455> the book <G 0975>, and to loose <G 3089> the seals <G 4973> thereof <G 0846>? :3 And no <G 3762> man <G 3762> in heaven <G 3772>, nor <G 3761> in earth <G 1093>, neither <G 3761> under <G 5270> the earth <G 1093>, was able <G 1410> to open <G 0455> the book <G 0975>, neither <G 3761> to look <G 0991> thereon <G 0846>. :4 And I wept <G 2799> much <G 4183>, because <G 3754> no <G 3762> man <G 3762> was found <G 2147> worthy <G 0514> to open <G 0455> and to read <G 0314> the book <G 0975>, neither <G 3777> to look <G 0991> thereon <G 0846>. :5 And one <G 1520> of the elders <G 4245> saith < G 3004> unto me, Weep <G 2799> not: behold <G 2400>, the Lion < G 3023> of the tribe <G 5443> of Juda <G 2455>, the Root <G 4491> of David <G 1138>, hath prevailed <G 3528> to open <G 0455> the book <G 0975>, and to loose <G 3089> the seven <G 2033> seals <G 4973> thereof <G 0846>. :6 And I beheld <G 1492>, and, lo <G 2400>, in the midst <G 3319> of the throne <G 2362> and of the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226>, and in the midst <G 3319> of the elders <G 4245>, stood <G 2476> a Lamb <G 0721> as it had been slain <G 4969>, having <G 2192> seven <G 2033> horns <G 2768> and seven <G 2033> eyes <G 3788>, which <G 3739> are the seven <G 2033> Spirits <G 4151> of God <G 2316> sent <G 0649> forth <G 0649> into <G 1519> all <G 3956> the earth <G 1093>. :7 And he came <G 2064> and took <G 2983> the book <G 0975> out of the right <G 1188> hand of him that sat <G 2521> upon the throne <G 2362>. :8 And when <G 3753> he had taken <G 2983> the book <G 0975>, the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226> and four <G 5064> [and] twenty <G 1501> elders <G 4245> fell <G 4098> down before <G 1799> the Lamb <G 0721>, having <G 2192> every <G 1538> one of them harps <G 2788>, and golden <G 5552> vials <G 5357> full <G 1073> of odours <G 2368>, which <G 3739> are the prayers <G 4335> of saints <G 0040>. :9 And they sung <G 0103> a new <G 2537> song <G 5603>, saying <G 3004>, Thou art <G 1488> worthy <G 0514> to take <G 2983> the book <G 0975>, and to open <G 0455> the seals <G 4973> thereof <G 0846>: for thou wast slain <G 4969>, and hast redeemed <G 0059> us to God <G 2316> by thy blood <G 0129> out of every <G 3956> kindred <G 5443>, and tongue <G 1100>, and people <G 2992>, and nation <G 1484>; :10 And hast made <G 4160> us unto our God <G 2316> kings <G 0935> and priests <G 2409>: and we shall reign <G 0936> on <G 1909> the earth <G 1093>. :11 And I beheld <G 1492>, and I heard <G 0191> the voice <G 5456> of many <G 4183> angels <G 0032> round <G 2943> about <G 2943> the throne <G 2362> and the beasts <G 2226> and the elders <G 4245>: and the number <G 0706> of them was ten < G 3461> thousand <G 3461> times ten <G 3461> thousand <G 3461>, and thousands <G 5505> of thousands <G 5505>; :12 Saying <G 3004> with a loud <G 3173> voice <G 5456>, Worthy <G 0514> is the Lamb <G 0721> that was slain <G 4969> to receive <G 2983> power <G 1411>, and riches <G 4149>, and wisdom <G 4678>, and strength <G 2479>, and honour <G 5092>, and glory <G 1391>, and blessing <G 2129>. :13 And every <G 3956> creature <G 2938> which <G 3739> is in heaven <G 3772>, and on <G 1722> the earth <G 1093>, and under <G 5270> the earth <G 1093>, and such as are in the sea <G 2281>, and all <G 3956> that are in them, heard <G 0191> I saying <G 3004>, Blessing <G 2129>, and honour <G 5092>, and glory <G 1391>, and power <G 2904>, [be] unto him that sitteth <G 2521> upon the throne <G 2362>, and unto the Lamb <G 0721> for ever <G 0165> and ever <G 0165>. :14 And the four <G 5064> beasts <G 2226> said <G 3004>, Amen <G 0281>. And the four <G 5064> [and] twenty <G 1501> elders <G 4245> fell <G 4098> down and worshipped <G 4352> him that liveth <G 2198> for ever <G 0165> and ever <G 0165>.
