CHAPTER 20 :1 And I saw <G 1492> an angel <G 0032> come <G 2597>down <G 2597> from heaven <G 3772>, having <G 2192> the key <G 2807> of the bottomless <G 0012> pit and a great <G 3173> chain <G 0254> in his hand <G 5495>. :2 And he laid hold <G 2902> on the dragon <G 1404>, that old <G 0744> serpent <G 3789>, which <G 3739> is the Devil <G 1228>, and Satan <G 4567>, and bound <G 1210> him a thousand <G 5507> years <G 2094>, :3 And cast <G 0906> him into <G 1519> the bottomless <G 0012> pit, and shut <G 2808> him up, and set <G 4972> a seal <G 4972> upon him, that he should deceive <G 4105> the nations <G 1484> no <G 3361> more <G 2089>, till <G 0891> the thousand <G 5507> years <G 2094> should be fulfilled <G 5055>: and after <G 3326> that he must <G 1163> be loosed <G 3089> a little < G 3398> season <G 5550>. :4 And I saw <G 1492> thrones <G 2362>, and they sat <G 2523> upon them, and judgment <G 2917> was given <G 1325> unto them: and [I saw] the souls <G 5590> of them that were beheaded <G 3990> for the witness <G 3141> of Jesus <G 2424>, and for the word <G 3056> of God <G 2316>, and which <G 3748> had not worshipped <G 4352> the beast <G 2342>, neither <G 3777> his image <G 1504>, neither <G 3756> had received <G 2983> [his] mark <G 5480> upon their foreheads <G 3359>, or <G 2532> in their hands <G 5495>; and they lived <G 2198> and reigned <G 0936> with Christ <G 5547> a thousand <G 5507> years <G 2094>. :5 But the rest <G 3062> of the dead <G 3498> lived <G 0326> not again <G 0326> until <G 2193> the thousand <G 5507> years <G 2094> were finished <G 5055>. This <G 3778> [is] the first <G 4413> resurrection <G 0386>. :6 Blessed <G 3107> and holy <G 0040> [is] he that hath <G 2192> part <G 3313> in the first <G 4413> resurrection < G 0386>: on <G 1909> such <G 5130> the second <G 1208> death < G 2288> hath <G 2192> no <G 3756> power <G 1849>, but they shall be priests <G 2409> of God <G 2316> and of Christ <G 5547>, and shall reign <G 0936> with him a thousand <G 5507> years <G 2094>. :7 And when <G 3752> the thousand <G 5507> years < G 2094> are expired <G 5055>, Satan <G 4567> shall be loosed < G 3089> out of his prison <G 5438>, :8 And shall go <G 1831> out to deceive <G 4105> the nations <G 1484> which <G 3588> are in the four <G 5064> quarters <G 1137> of the earth <G 1093>, Gog <G 1136> and Magog <G 3098>, to gather <G 4863> them together <G 4863> to battle < G 4171>: the number <G 0706> of whom <G 3739> [is] as the sand < G 0285> of the sea <G 2281>. :9 And they went <G 0305> up on <G 1909> the breadth <G 4114> of the earth <G 1093>, and compassed <G 2944> the camp <G 3925> of the saints <G 0040> about <G 2944>, and the beloved <G 0025> city <G 4172>: and fire <G 4442> came <G 2597> down <G 2597> from God <G 2316> out of heaven <G 3772>, and devoured <G 2719> them. :10 And the devil <G 1228> that deceived <G 4105> them was cast <G 0906> into <G 1519> the lake <G 3041> of fire <G 4442> and brimstone <G 2303>, where <G 3699> the beast <G 2342> and the false <G 5578> prophet <G 5578> [are], and shall be tormented <G 0928> day <G 2250> and night <G 3571> for ever < G 0165> and ever <G 0165>. :11 And I saw <G 1492> a great <G 3173> white <G 3022> throne <G 2362>, and him that sat <G 2521> on <G 1909> it, from whose <G 3739> face <G 4383> the earth <G 1093> and the heaven <G 3772> fled <G 5343> away; and there was found <G 2147> no <G 3756> place <G 5117> for them. :12 And I saw <G 1492> the dead <G 3498>, small <G 3398> and great <G 3173>, stand <G 2476> before <G 1799> God <G 2316>; and the books <G 0975> were opened <G 0455>: and another <G 0243> book <G 0976> was opened <G 0455>, which <G 3739> is [the book <G 0976>] of life <G 2222>: and the dead <G 3498> were judged <G 2919> out of those <G 3588> things which were written <G 1125> in the books <G 0975>, according <G 2596> to their works <G 2041>. :13 And the sea <G 2281> gave <G 1325> up the dead <G 3498> which <G 3588> were in it; and death <G 2288> and hell <G 0086> delivered <G 1325> up the dead <G 3498> which <G 3588> were in them: and they were judged <G 2919> every <G 1538> man according <G 2596> to their works <G 2041>. :14 And death <G 2288> and hell <G 0086> were cast <G 0906> into <G 1519> the lake <G 3041> of fire <G 4442>. This <G 3778> is the second <G 1208> death <G 2288>. :15 And whosoever <G 3156> was not found <G 2147> written <G 1125> in the book <G 0976> of life <G 2222> was cast <G 0906> into <G 1519> the lake <G 3041> of fire <G 4442> .
