4 John <2491-Ioannes-> to the seven <2033-hepta-> churches

Grace <5485-charis-> [be] unto you, and peace <1515- eirene->,
from him which <3588-ho-> is, and which <3588-ho-> was, and
which <3588-ho-> is to come <2064-erchomai->; and from the seven
<2033-hepta-> Spirits <4151-pneuma-> which <3739- hos-> are
before <1799-enopion-> his throne <2362-thronos->;



5 And from Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos- >, [who

7 Behold <2400-idou->, he cometh <2064-erchomai-> with clouds

shall see <3700-optanomai-> him, and they [also] which < 3748-
hostis-> pierced <1574-ekkenteo-> him: and all <3956- pas->

>, as of a trumpet <4536-salpigx->,



11 Saying <3004-lego->, I am <1510-eimi-> Alpha < 0001-a-> and
Omega <5598-omega->, the first <4413-protos-> and the last <2078-
eschatos->: and, What <3739-hos-> thou seest <0991- blepo->,
write <1125-grapho-> in a book <0975-biblion->, and send <3992-
pempo-> [it] unto the seven <2033-hepta-> churches < 1577-
ekklesia-> which <3588-ho-> are in Asia <0773-Asia- >; unto
Ephesus <2181-Ephesos->, and unto Smyrna <4667-Smurna- >, and

12 And I turned <1994-epistrepho-> to see <0991-blepo- > the
voice <5456-phone-> that spake <2980-laleo-> with me. And being
turned <1994-epistrepho->, I saw <1492-eido-> seven <2033-hepta-
> golden <5552-chruseos-> candlesticks <3087-luchnia- >;



13 And in the midst <3319-mesos-> of the seven <2033- hepta->
candlesticks <3087-luchnia-> [one] like <3664-homoios- > unto the
Son <5207-huios-> of man <0444-anthropos->, clothed <1746-enduo-
> with a garment <4158-poderes-> down to the foot < 4158-poderes-
>, and girt <4024-perizonnumi-> about <4024- perizonnumi-> the
paps <3149-mastos-> with a golden <5552-chruseos-> girdle <2223-
zone->.



14 His head <2776-kephale-> and [his] hairs <2359-thrix- >
[were] white <3022-leukos-> like <5616-hosei-> wool <2053-erion-
>, as white <3022-leukos-> as snow <5510-chion->; and his eyes
<3788-ophthalmos-> [were] as a flame <5395-phlox-> of fire <4442-
pur->;



15 And his feet <4228-pous-> like <3664-homoios-> unto fine
brass <5474-chalkolibanon->, as if they burned <4448- puroo-> in
a furnace <2575-kaminos->; and his voice <5456-phone-> as the
sound <5456-phone-> of many <4183-polus-> waters < 5204-hudor->.



16 And he had <2192-echo-> in his right <1188-dexios- > hand
<5495-cheir-> seven <2033-hepta-> stars <0792- aster->: and out
of his mouth <4750-stoma-> went <1607-ekporeuomai-> a sharp
<3691-oxus-> twoedged <1366-distomos-> sword <4501- rhomphaia->:
and his countenance <3799-opsis-> [was] as the sun <2246- helios-

17 And when <3753-hote-> I saw <1492-eido-> him, I fell <4098-
pipto-> at <4314-pros-> his feet <4228-pous-> as dead <3498-

> hand <5495-cheir-> upon me, saying <3004-lego-> unto me, Fear

18 I [am <1510-eimi->] he that liveth <2198-zao->, and was dead
<3498-nekros->; and, behold <2400-idou->, I am < 1510-eimi->
alive <2198-zao-> for evermore <0165-aion->, Amen < 0281-amen->;
and have <2192-echo-> the keys <2807-kleis-> of hell <0086-
haides-> and of death <2288-thanatos->.



19 Write <1125-grapho-> the things which <3739-hos-> thou hast
seen <1492-eido->, and the things which <3739-hos-> are, and the
things which <3739-hos-> shall be hereafter <5023-tauta- >;



20 The mystery <3466-musterion-> of the seven <2033- hepta->
stars <0792-aster-> which <3739-hos-> thou sawest < 1492-eido->
in my right <1188-dexios-> hand, and the seven <2033- hepta->
golden <5552-chruseos-> candlesticks <3087-luchnia->. The seven
<2033-hepta-> stars <0792-aster-> are the angels < 0032-aggelos->
of the seven <2033-hepta-> churches <1577-ekklesia->: and the
seven <2033-hepta-> candlesticks <3087-luchnia-> which <3739-hos-
> thou sawest <1492-eido-> are the seven <2033-hepta- > churches
<1577-ekklesia->.



Revelation 2



1. Unto the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church <1577- ekklesia-
> of Ephesus <2181-Ephesos-> write <1125-grapho->; These <3592-
hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> he that holdeth < 2902-krateo->
the seven <2033-hepta-> stars <0792-aster-> in his right <1188-
dexios-> hand, who <3588-ho-> walketh <4043-peripateo- > in the

2 I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, and thy labour

hoti-> thou canst <1410-dunamai-> not bear <0941- bastazo-> them
which are evil <2556-kakos->: and thou hast tried <3985- peirazo-

3 And hast borne <0941-bastazo->, and hast <2192-echo- >
patience <5281-hupomone->, and for my name's <3686-onoma- > sake
hast laboured <2872-kopiao->, and hast not fainted <2577- kamno->.



4 Nevertheless <0235-alla-> I have <2192-echo-> [somewhat]
against <2596-kata-> thee, because <3754-hoti-> thou hast left
<0863-aphiemi-> thy first <4413-protos-> love < 0026-agape->.



5 Remember <3421-mnemoneuo-> therefore <3767-oun-> from whence
<4159-pothen-> thou art fallen <1601-ekpipto->, and repent <3340-
metanoeo->, and do <4160-poieo-> the first <4413- protos-> works
<2041-ergon->; or <1161-de-> else <1490-ei de me(ge)-> I will
come <2064-erchomai-> unto thee quickly <5035-tachu->, and will
remove <2795-kineo-> thy candlestick <3087-luchnia-> out of his
place <5117-topos->, except <3362-ean me-> thou repent <3340-
metanoeo->.



6 But this <5124-touto-> thou hast <2192-echo->, that thou
hatest <3404-miseo-> the deeds <2041-ergon-> of the Nicolaitans
<3531-Nikolaites->, which <3739-hos-> I also <2504- kago-> hate
<3404-miseo->.



7 He that hath <2192-echo-> an ear <3775-ous->, let him hear
<0191-akouo-> what <5101-tis-> the Spirit <4151- pneuma-> saith
<3004-lego-> unto the churches <1577-ekklesia->; To him that
overcometh <3528-nikao-> will I give <1325-didomi-> to eat <5315-
phago-> of the tree <3586-xulon-> of life <2222-zoe- >, which
<3739-hos-> is in the midst <3319-mesos-> of the paradise <3857-
paradeisos-> of God <2316-theos->.



8. And unto the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church < 1577-
ekklesia-> in Smyrna <4668-Smurnaios-> write <1125- grapho->;
These <3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> the first <4413-
protos-> and the last <2078-eschatos->, which <3739- hos-> was
dead <3498-nekros->, and is alive <2198-zao->;



9 I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, and tribulation
<2347-thlipsis->, and poverty <4432-ptocheia->, (but thou art
<1488-ei-> rich <4145-plousios->) and [I know] the blasphemy
<0988-blasphemia-> of them which <3588-ho-> say < 3004-lego->
they are Jews <2453-Ioudaios->, and are not, but [are] the
synagogue <4864-sunagoge-> of Satan <4567-Satanas->.



10 Fear <5399-phobeo-> none <3367-medeis-> of those <3588-ho->
things which <3739-hos-> thou shalt suffer <3958-pascho- >:
behold <2400-idou->, the devil <1228-diabolos-> shall cast <0906-
ballo-> [some] of you into <1519-eis-> prison <5438- phulake->,
that ye may be tried <3985-peirazo->; and ye shall have < 2192-
echo-> tribulation <2347-thlipsis-> ten <1176-deka- > days <2250-
hemera->: be thou faithful <4103-pistos-> unto death < 2288-
thanatos->, and I will give <1325-didomi-> thee a crown <4735-

11 He that hath <2192-echo-> an ear <3775-ous->, let him hear
<0191-akouo-> what <5101-tis-> the Spirit <4151- pneuma-> saith
<3004-lego-> unto the churches <1577-ekklesia->; He that
overcometh <3528-nikao-> shall not be hurt <0091-adikeo- > of the
second <1208-deuteros-> death <2288-thanatos->.



12. And to the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church < 1577-
ekklesia-> in Pergamos <4010-Pergamos-> write <1125- grapho->;
These <3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> he which hath <2192-
echo-> the sharp <3691-oxus-> sword <4501-rhomphaia- > with two
<1366-distomos-> edges <1366-distomos->;



13 I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, and where <4226-
pou-> thou dwellest <2730-katoikeo->, [even] where < 3699-hopou->
Satan's <4567-Satanas-> seat <2362-thronos-> [is]: and thou
holdest <2902-krateo-> fast my name <3686-onoma->, and hast not
denied <0720-arneomai-> my faith <4102-pistis->, even <2532-kai-
> in those <3588-ho-> days <2250-hemera-> wherein <3757-hou->
Antipas <0493-Antipas-> [was] my faithful <4103-pistos- > martyr

<1322-didache-> of Balaam <0903-Balaam->, who < 3739-hos-> taught
<1321-didasko-> Balac <0904-Balak-> to cast <0906- ballo-> a
stumblingblock <4625-skandalon-> before <1799-enopion- > the
children <5207-huios-> of Israel <2474-Israel->, to eat <5315-
phago-> things sacrificed <1494-eidolothuton-> unto idols <1494-
eidolothuton->, and to commit <4203-porneuo-> fornication <4203-
porneuo->.



15 So <3779-houto-> hast <2192-echo-> thou also < 2532-kai->
them that hold <2902-krateo-> the doctrine <1322-didache- > of
the Nicolaitans <3531-Nikolaites->, which <3739-hos-> thing I
hate <3404-miseo->.



16 Repent <3340-metanoeo->; or <1161-de-> else < 1490-ei de
me(ge)-> I will come <2064-erchomai-> unto thee quickly <5035-
tachu->, and will fight <4170-polemeo-> against <3326- meta->
them with the sword <4501-rhomphaia-> of my mouth <4750- stoma->.



17 He that hath <2192-echo-> an ear <3775-ous->, let him hear
<0191-akouo-> what <5101-tis-> the Spirit <4151- pneuma-> saith
<3004-lego-> unto the churches <1577-ekklesia->; To him that
overcometh <3528-nikao-> will I give <1325-didomi-> to eat <5315-
phago-> of the hidden <2928-krupto-> manna <3131- manna->, and
will give <1325-didomi-> him a white <3022-leukos-> stone <5586-
psephos->, and in the stone <5586-psephos-> a new < 2537-kainos->
name <3686-onoma-> written <1125-grapho->, which < 3739-hos-> no
<3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis-> knoweth <1097- ginosko-> saving

ekklesia-> in Thyatira <2363-Thuateira-> write <1125- grapho->;
These <3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> the Son <5207-huios-
> of God <2316-theos->, who <3588-ho-> hath < 2192-echo-> his
eyes <3788-ophthalmos-> like <5613-hos-> unto a flame <5395-
phlox-> of fire <4442-pur->, and his feet <4228-pous- > [are]
like <3664-homoios-> fine brass <5474-chalkolibanon->;



19 I know <1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, and charity
<0026-agape->, and service <1248-diakonia->, and faith <4102-
pistis->, and thy patience <5281-hupomone->, and thy works <2041-
ergon->; and the last <2078-eschatos-> [to be] more < 4119-pleion-
> than the first <4413-protos->.



20 Notwithstanding <0235-alla-> I have <2192-echo-> a few <3641-
oligos-> things against <2596-kata-> thee, because < 3754-hoti->
thou sufferest <1439-eao-> that woman <1135-gune-> Jezebel <2403-
Iezabel->, which <3588-ho-> calleth <3004-lego-> herself <1438-
heautou-> a prophetess <4398-prophetis->, to teach < 1321-didasko-
> and to seduce <4105-planao-> my servants <1401- doulos-> to
commit <4203-porneuo-> fornication <4203-porneuo->, and to eat
<5315-phago-> things sacrificed <1494-eidolothuton-> unto idols
<1494-eidolothuton->.



21 And I gave <1325-didomi-> her space <5550-chronos- > to
repent <3340-metanoeo-> of her fornication <4202-porneia- >; and
she repented <3340-metanoeo-> not.



22 Behold <2400-idou->, I will cast <0906-ballo-> her into
<1519-eis-> a bed <2825-kline->, and them that commit <3431-
moicheuo-> adultery <3431-moicheuo-> with her into < 1519-eis->
great <3173-megas-> tribulation <2347-thlipsis->, except <3362-
ean me-> they repent <3340-metanoeo-> of their deeds < 2041-ergon-
>.



23 And I will kill <0615-apokteino-> her children <5043- teknon-
> with death <2288-thanatos->; and all <3956-pas-> the churches
<1577-ekklesia-> shall know <1097-ginosko-> that I am <1510-eimi-
> he which <3739-hos-> searcheth <2045-ereunao-> the reins <3510-
nephros-> and hearts <2588-kardia->: and I will give < 1325-
didomi-> unto every <1538-hekastos-> one of you according <2596-
kata-> to your <5216-humon-> works <2041-ergon->.



24 But unto you I say <3004-lego->, and unto the rest < 3062-
loipoy-> in Thyatira <2363-Thuateira->, as many <3745- hosos-> as
have <2192-echo-> not this <5026-taute-> doctrine < 1322-didache-
>, and which <3748-hostis-> have not known <1097- ginosko-> the
depths <0899-bathos-> of Satan <4567-Satanas->, as they speak
<3004-lego->; I will put <0906-ballo-> upon you none <3367-
medeis-> other <0243-allos-> burden <0922-baros->.



25 But that which ye have <2192-echo-> [already] hold < 2902-
krateo-> fast till <0891-achri-> I come <2240-heko- >.



26 And he that overcometh <3528-nikao->, and keepeth < 5083-
tereo-> my works <2041-ergon-> unto the end <5056- telos->, to
him will I give <1325-didomi-> power <1849-exousia-> over <1909-
epi-> the nations <1484-ethnos->:



27 And he shall rule <4165-poimaino-> them with a rod < 4464-
rhabdos-> of iron <4603-sidereos->; as the vessels < 4632-skeuos-
> of a potter <2764-keramikos-> shall they be broken < 4937-
suntribo-> to shivers <4937-suntribo->: even <2504- kago-> as I
received <2983-lambano-> of my Father <3962-pater->.



28 And I will give <1325-didomi-> him the morning <4407- proinos-
> star <0792-aster->.



29 He that hath <2192-echo-> an ear <3775-ous->, let him hear
<0191-akouo-> what <5101-tis-> the Spirit <4151- pneuma-> saith
<3004-lego-> unto the churches <1577-ekklesia->.



Revelation 3



1. And unto the angel <0032-aggelos-> of the church < 1577-
ekklesia-> in Sardis <4554-Sardeis-> write <1125- grapho->; These
<3592-hode-> things saith <3004-lego-> he that hath <2192-echo->
the seven <2033-hepta-> Spirits <4151-pneuma-> of God <2316-
theos->, and the seven <2033-hepta-> stars <0792- aster->; I know
<1492-eido-> thy works <2041-ergon->, that thou hast <2192-echo-
> a name <3686-onoma-> that thou livest <2198-zao-> , and art
<1488-ei-> dead <3498-nekros->.



2 Be watchful <1127-gregoreuo->, and strengthen <4741- sterizo->
the things which remain <3062-loipoy->, that are ready < 3195-
mello-> to die <0599-apothnesko->: for I have not found <2147-
heurisko-> thy works <2041-ergon-> perfect <4137- pleroo-> before
<1799-enopion-> God <2316-theos->.



3 Remember <3421-mnemoneuo-> therefore <3767-oun-> how <4459-
pos-> thou hast received <2983-lambano-> and heard < 0191-akouo->,
and hold <5083-tereo-> fast, and repent <3340-metanoeo- >. If
<1437-ean-> therefore <3767-oun-> thou shalt not watch <1127-
gregoreuo->, I will come <2240-heko-> on <1909-epi- > thee as a
thief <2812-kleptes->, and thou shalt not know <1097- ginosko->
what <4169-poios-> hour <5610-hora-> I will come < 2240-heko->
upon thee.



4 Thou hast <2192-echo-> a few <3641-oligos-> names <3686-onoma-
> even <2532-kai-> in Sardis <4554-Sardeis-> which <3739-hos->
have not defiled <3435-moluno-> their garments <2440- himation->;
and they shall walk <4043-peripateo-> with me in white < 3022-
leukos->: for they are worthy <0514-axios->.



5 He that overcometh <3528-nikao->, the same <3778- houtos->
shall be clothed <4016-periballo-> in white <3022-leukos- >
raiment <2440-himation->; and I will not blot <1813- exaleipho->
out his name <3686-onoma-> out of the book <0976-biblos- > of
life <2222-zoe->, but I will confess <1843-exomologeo- > his name
<3686-onoma-> before <1799-enopion-> my Father < 3962-pater->,
and before <1799-enopion-> his angels <0032-aggelos->.

open <0455-anoigo-> door <2374-thura->, and no < 3762-oudeis->
man <3762-oudeis-> can <1410-dunamai-> shut <2808- kleio-> it:
for thou hast <2192-echo-> a little <3398-mikros-> strength

synagogue <4864-sunagoge-> of Satan <4567-Satanas->, which <3588-
ho-> say <3004-lego-> they are Jews <2453-Ioudaios- >, and are
not, but do lie <5574-pseudomai->; behold <2400-idou-> , I will
make <4160-poieo-> them to come <2240-heko-> and worship <4352-

11 And the name <3686-onoma-> of the star <0792-aster- > is
