Zechariah 1



1. In the eighth <8066> month <2320>, in the second <8147> year
<8141> of Darius <1867>, came <1961> the word <1697> of the LORD
<3068> unto Zechariah <2148>, the son <1121> of Berechiah <1296>,
the son <1121> of Iddo <5714> the prophet < 5030>, saying <0559>,



2 The LORD <3068> hath been sore displeased <7107> with your
fathers <1>.



3 Therefore say <0559> thou unto them, Thus <3541> saith <0559>
the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; Turn <7725> ye unto me, saith
<5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>, and I will turn <7725>
unto you, saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts < 6635>.



4 Be ye not as your fathers <1>, unto whom the former < 7223>
prophets <5030> have cried <7121>, saying <0559> , Thus <3541>
saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; Turn <7725> ye now
<4994> from your evil <7451> ways <1870>, and [from] your evil
<7451> doings <4611>: but they did not hear < 8085>, nor <3808>
hearken <7181> unto me, saith <5002> the LORD < 3068>.



5 Your fathers <1>, where <0346> [are] they? and the prophets
<5030>, do they live <2421> for ever <5769>?



6 But my words <1697> and my statutes <2706>, which <0834> I
commanded <6680> my servants <5650> the prophets < 5030>, did
they not take <5381> hold <5381> of your fathers < 1>? and they
returned <7725> and said <0559>, Like as the LORD < 3068> of
hosts <6635> thought <2161> to do <6213> unto us, according to
our ways <1870>, and according to our doings <4611>, so <3651>
hath he dealt <6213> with us.



7. Upon the four <0702> and twentieth <6242> day < 3117> of the
eleventh month <2320>, which <1931> [is] the month <2320> Sebat
<7627>, in the second <8147> year <8141> of Darius <1867>, came
<1961> the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> unto Zechariah <2148>,
the son <1121> of Berechiah <1296>, the son < 1121> of Iddo
<5714> the prophet <5030>, saying <0559>,



8 I saw <7200> by night <3915>, and behold < 2009> a man <0376>
riding <7392> upon a red <0122> horse <5483>, and he stood
<5975> among <0996> the myrtle <1918> trees that [were] in the
bottom <4699>; and behind <0310> him [were there] red <0122>
horses <5483>, speckled <8320>, and white <3836> .



9 Then said <0559> I, O my lord <0113>, what < 4100> [are] these
<0428>? And the angel <4397> that talked <1696> with me said
<0559> unto me, I will shew <7200> thee what < 4100> these <0428>
[be].



10 And the man <0376> that stood <5975> among < 0996> the myrtle
<1918> trees answered <6030> and said <0559>, These <0428> [are
they] whom <0834> the LORD <3068> hath sent < 7971> to walk
<1980> to and fro through the earth <0776>.



11 And they answered <6030> the angel <4397> of the LORD <3068>
that stood <5975> among <0996> the myrtle <1918> trees, and said
<0559>, We have walked <1980> to and fro through the earth
<0776>, and, behold <2009>, all <3605> the earth <0776> sitteth
<3427> still, and is at rest <8252>.



12 Then the angel <4397> of the LORD <3068> answered <6030> and
said <0559>, O LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>, how <5704> long
<5704> wilt thou not have mercy <7355> on Jerusalem <3389> and
on the cities <5892> of Judah <3063>, against which <0834> thou
hast had indignation <2194> these <2088> threescore <7657> and
ten years <8141>?



13 And the LORD <3068> answered <6030> the angel < 4397> that
talked <1696> with me [with] good <2896> words < 1697> [and]
comfortable <5150> words <1697>.



14 So the angel <4397> that communed <1696> with me said <0559>
unto me, Cry <7121> thou, saying <0559>, Thus < 3541> saith
<5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; I am jealous <7065> for
Jerusalem <3389> and for Zion <6726> with a great < 1419>
jealousy <7068>.



15 And I am very sore displeased <7107> with the heathen <1471>
[that are] at ease <7600>: for I was but a little < 4592>
displeased <7107>, and they helped <5826> forward the affliction
<7451>.



16 Therefore <3651> thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068>; I
am returned <7725> to Jerusalem <3389> with mercies <7356>: my
house <1004> shall be built <1129> in it, saith < 5002> the LORD
<3068> of hosts <6635>, and a line <6957> shall be stretched
<5186> forth upon Jerusalem <3389>.



17 Cry <7121> yet <5750>, saying <0559>, Thus <3541> saith
<0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; My cities <5892> through
prosperity <2896> shall yet <5750> be spread < 6327> abroad
<6527>; and the LORD <3068> shall yet <5750> comfort <5162> Zion
<6726>, and shall yet <5750> choose <0977> Jerusalem <3389>.



18. Then lifted <5375> I up mine eyes <5869>, and saw <7200>,
and behold <2009> four <0702> horns <7161>.



19 And I said <0559> unto the angel <4397> that talked <1696>
with me, What <4100> [be] these <0428>? And he answered <0559>
me, These <0428> [are] the horns <7161> which < 0834> have
scattered <2219> Judah <3063>, Israel <3478>, and Jerusalem
<3389>.



20 And the LORD <3068> shewed <7200> me four < 0702> carpenters
<2796>.



21 Then said <0559> I, What <4100> come <0935> these <0428> to
do <6213>? And he spake <0559>, saying <0559>, These <0428>
[are] the horns <7161> which <0834> have scattered <2219> Judah
<3063>, so that no <3808> man <0376> did lift <5375> up his head
<7218>: but these <0428> are come <0935> to fray <2729> them, to
cast <3034> out the horns <7161> of the Gentiles < 1471>, which
lifted <5375> up [their] horn <7161> over <0413> the land <0776>
of Judah <3063> to scatter <2219> it.



Zechariah 2



1. I lifted <5375> up mine eyes <5869> again, and looked <7200>,
and behold <2009> a man <0376> with a measuring < 4060> line
<2256> in his hand <3027>.



2 Then said <0559> I, Whither <0575> goest < 1980> thou? And he
said <0559> unto me, To measure <4058> Jerusalem < 3389>, to see
<7200> what <4100> [is] the breadth <7341> thereof, and what
<4100> [is] the length <0753> thereof.



3 And, behold <2009>, the angel <4397> that talked <1696> with
me went <3318> forth <3318>, and another <0312> angel <4397>
went <3318> out to meet <7125> him,



4 And said <0559> unto him, Run <7323>, speak < 1696> to this
<1975> young <5288> man, saying <0559>, Jerusalem <3389> shall
be inhabited <3427> [as] towns <6519> without walls for the
multitude <7230> of men <0120> and cattle <0929> therein <8432>:



5 For I, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>, will be unto her a wall
<2346> of fire <0784> round <5439> about, and will be the glory
<3519> in the midst <8432> of her.



6. Ho <1945>, ho <1945>, [come forth], and flee < 5127> from the
land <0776> of the north <6828>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>:
for I have spread <6566> you abroad <6566> as the four <0702>
winds <7307> of the heaven <8064>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>.



7 Deliver <4422> thyself, O Zion <6726>, that dwellest <3427>
[with] the daughter <1323> of Babylon <0894>.



8 For thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
After <0310> the glory <3519> hath he sent < 7971> me unto the
nations <1471> which spoiled <7997> you: for he that toucheth
<5060> you toucheth <5060> the apple <0892> of his eye <5869>.



9 For, behold <2005>, I will shake <5130> mine hand <3027> upon
them, and they shall be a spoil <7998> to their servants <5647>:
and ye shall know <3045> that the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>
hath sent <7971> me.



10. Sing <7442> and rejoice <8055>, O daughter < 1323> of Zion
<6726>: for, lo, I come <0935>, and I will dwell < 7931> in the
midst <8432> of thee, saith <5002> the LORD < 3068>.



11 And many <7227> nations <1471> shall be joined <3867> to the
LORD <3068> in that day <3117>, and shall be my people <5971>:
and I will dwell <7931> in the midst <8432> of thee, and thou
shalt know <3045> that the LORD <3068> of hosts < 6635> hath sent
<7971> me unto thee.



12 And the LORD <3068> shall inherit <5157> Judah <3063> his
portion <2506> in the holy <6944> land <0127>, and shall choose
<0977> Jerusalem <3389> again <5750>.



13 Be silent <2013>, O all <3605> flesh <1320>, before <6440>
the LORD <3068>: for he is raised <5782> up out of his holy
<6944> habitation <4583>.



Zechariah 3



1. And he shewed <7200> me Joshua <3091> the high <1419> priest
<3548> standing <5975> before <6440> the angel <4397> of the
LORD <3068>, and Satan <7854> standing <5975> at <5921> his
right <3225> hand <3225> to resist <7853> him.



2 And the LORD <3068> said <0559> unto Satan < 7854>, The LORD
<3068> rebuke <1605> thee, O Satan <7854>; even the LORD <3068>
that hath chosen <0977> Jerusalem <3389> rebuke < 1605> thee:
[is] not this <2088> a brand <0181> plucked < 5337> out of the
fire <0784>?



3 Now Joshua <3091> was clothed <3847> with filthy <6674>
garments <0899>, and stood <5975> before <6440> the angel <4397>.



4 And he answered <6030> and spake <0559> unto those that stood
<5975> before <6440> him, saying <0559>, Take <5493> away <5493>
the filthy <6674> garments <0899> from him. And unto him he said
<0559>, Behold <7200>, I have caused thine iniquity <5771> to
pass <5674> from thee, and I will clothe <3847> thee with change
<4254> of raiment <4254>.



5 And I said <0559>, Let them set <7760> a fair < 2889> mitre
<6797> upon his head <7218>. So they set <7760> a fair <2889>
mitre <6797> upon his head <7218>, and clothed < 3847> him with
garments <0899>. And the angel <4397> of the LORD < 3068> stood
<5975> by.



6 And the angel <4397> of the LORD <3068> protested <5749> unto
Joshua <3091>, saying <0559>,



7 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; If
<0518> thou wilt walk <3212> in my ways <1870>, and if <0518>
thou wilt keep <8104> my charge <4931>, then thou shalt also
<1571> judge <1777> my house <1004>, and shalt also <1571> keep
<8104> my courts <2691>, and I will give <5414> thee places to
walk <4108> among <0996> these <0428> that stand <5975> by.



8. Hear <8085> now <4994>, O Joshua <3091> the high <1419>
priest <3548>, thou, and thy fellows <7453> that sit <3427>
before <6440> thee: for they [are] men <0582> wondered <4159> at:
for, behold <2005>, I will bring <0935> forth < 0935> my servant
<5650> the BRANCH <6780>.



9 For behold <2009> the stone <68> that I have laid <5414>
before <6440> Joshua <3091>; upon one <0259> stone <68> [shall
be] seven <7651> eyes <5869>: behold <2005>, I will engrave
<6605> the graving <6603> thereof, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>
of hosts <6635>, and I will remove <4185> the iniquity <5771> of
that land <0776> in one <0259> day <3117>.



10 In that day <3117>, saith <5002> the LORD < 3068> of hosts
<6635>, shall ye call <7121> every man his neighbour <7453>
under <8478> the vine <1612> and under <8478> the fig <8384>
tree.



Zechariah 4



1. And the angel <4397> that talked <1696> with me came <7725>
again <7725>, and waked <5782> me, as a man < 0376> that is
wakened <5782> out of his sleep <8142>,



2 And said <0559> unto me, What <4100> seest < 7200> thou? And I
said <0559>, I have looked <7200>, and behold < 2005> a
candlestick <4501> all <3605> [of] gold <2091>, with a bowl
<1543> upon the top <7218> of it, and his seven < 7651> lamps
<5216> thereon <5921>, and seven <7651> pipes <4166> to the
seven <7651> lamps <5216>, which [are] upon the top <7218>
thereof:



3 And two <8147> olive <2132> trees by it, one < 0259> upon the
right <3225> [side] of the bowl <1543>, and the other <0259>
upon the left <8040> [side] thereof.



4 So I answered <6030> and spake <0559> to the angel <4397>
that talked <1696> with me, saying <0559>, What < 4100> [are]
these <0428>, my lord <0113>?



5 Then the angel <4397> that talked <1696> with me answered
<6030> and said <0559> unto me, Knowest <3045> thou not what
<4100> these <0428> be? And I said <0559>, No <3808>, my lord
<0113>.



6 Then he answered <6030> and spake <0559> unto me, saying
<0559>, This <2088> [is] the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> unto
Zerubbabel <2216>, saying <0559>, Not by might < 2428>, nor
<3808> by power <3581>, but by my spirit <7307>, saith <0559>
the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>.



7 Who <4310> [art] thou, O great <1419> mountain < 2022>? before
<6440> Zerubbabel <2216> [thou shalt become] a plain <4334>: and
he shall bring <3318> forth <3318> the headstone [thereof with]
shoutings <8663>, [crying], Grace <2580>, grace < 2580> unto it.



8 Moreover the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> came <1961> unto
me, saying <0559>,



9 The hands <3027> of Zerubbabel <2216> have laid the
foundation <3248> of this <2088> house <1004>; his hands <3027>
shall also finish <1214> it; and thou shalt know < 3045> that the
LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> hath sent <7971> me unto you.



10 For who <4310> hath despised <0937> the day < 3117> of small
<6996> things? for they shall rejoice <8055>, and shall see
<7200> the plummet in the hand <3027> of Zerubbabel <2216>
[with] those <0428> seven <7651>; they [are] the eyes <5869> of
the LORD <3068>, which run <7751> to and fro < 7751> through the
whole <3605> earth <0776>.



11. Then answered <6030> I, and said <0559> unto him, What
<4100> [are] these <0428> two <8147> olive < 2132> trees upon the
right <3225> [side] of the candlestick <4501> and upon the left
<8040> [side] thereof?



12 And I answered <6030> again <8145>, and said < 0559> unto him,
What <4100> [be these] two <8147> olive <2132> branches <7641>
which <0834> through <3027> the two <8147> golden <2091> pipes
<6804> empty <7324> the golden <2091> [oil] out of themselves?



13 And he answered <0559> me and said <0559>, Knowest <3045>
thou not what <4100> these <0428> [be]? And I said <0559>, No
<3808>, my lord <0113>.



14 Then said <0559> he, These <0428> [are] the two <8147>
anointed <3323> ones, that stand <5975> by the Lord <0113> of
the whole <3605> earth <0776>.



Zechariah 5



1. Then I turned <7725>, and lifted <5375> up mine eyes <5869>,
and looked <7200>, and behold <2009> a flying < 5774> roll <4040>.



2 And he said <0559> unto me, What <4100> seest < 7200> thou?
And I answered <0559>, I see <7200> a flying < 5774> roll <4040>;
the length <0753> thereof [is] twenty <6242> cubits <0520>, and
the breadth <7341> thereof ten <6235> cubits < 0520>.



3 Then said <0559> he unto me, This <2063> [is] the curse
<0423> that goeth <3318> forth <3318> over < 5921> the face
<6440> of the whole <3605> earth <0776>: for every <3605> one
that stealeth <1589> shall be cut <5352> off [as] on this <2088>
side according <3644> to it; and every <3605> one that sweareth
<7650> shall be cut <5352> off [as] on that side according
<3644> to it.



4 I will bring <3318> it forth <3318>, saith < 5002> the LORD
<3068> of hosts <6635>, and it shall enter < 0935> into <0413>
the house <1004> of the thief <1590>, and into < 0413> the house
<1004> of him that sweareth <7650> falsely < 8267> by my name
<8034>: and it shall remain <3885> in the midst < 8432> of his
house <1004>, and shall consume <3615> it with the timber <6086>
thereof and the stones <68> thereof.



5. Then the angel <4397> that talked <1696> with me went <3318>
forth <3318>, and said <0559> unto me, Lift < 5375> up now <4994>
thine eyes <5869>, and see <7200> what <4100> [is] this <2063>
that goeth <3318> forth <3318>.



6 And I said <0559>, What <4100> [is] it? And he said <0559>,
This <2063> [is] an ephah <0374> that goeth < 3318> forth <3318>.
He said <0559> moreover, This <2063> [is] their resemblance
<5869> through all <3605> the earth <0776>.



7 And, behold <2009>, there was lifted up a talent < 3603> of
lead <5777>: and this <2063> [is] a woman <0802> that sitteth
<3427> in the midst <8432> of the ephah <0374>.



8 And he said <0559>, This <2063> [is] wickedness <7564>. And
he cast <7993> it into <0413> the midst <8432> of the ephah
<0374>; and he cast <7993> the weight <68> of lead <5777> upon
the mouth <6310> thereof.



9 Then lifted <5375> I up mine eyes <5869>, and looked <7200>,
and, behold <2009>, there came <3318> out two < 8147> women
<0802>, and the wind <7307> [was] in their wings < 3671>; for
they had wings <3671> like the wings <3671> of a stork <2624>:
and they lifted <5375> up the ephah <0374> between <0996> the
earth <0776> and the heaven <8064>.



10 Then said <0559> I to the angel <4397> that talked <1696>
with me, Whither <0575> do these <1992> bear < 3212> the ephah
<0374>?



11 And he said <0559> unto me, To build <1129> it an house
<1004> in the land <0776> of Shinar <8152>: and it shall be
established <3559>, and set <3240> there <8033> upon her own
base <4369>.



Zechariah 6



1. And I turned <7725>, and lifted <5375> up mine eyes <5869>,
and looked <7200>, and, behold <2009>, there came < 3318> four
<0702> chariots <4818> out from between <0996> two <8147>
mountains <2022>; and the mountains <2022> [were] mountains
<2022> of brass <5178>.



2 In the first <7223> chariot <4818> [were] red < 0122> horses
<5483>; and in the second <8145> chariot <4818> black <7838>
horses <5483>;



3 And in the third <7992> chariot <4818> white < 3836> horses
<5483>; and in the fourth <7243> chariot <4818> grisled <1261>
and bay <0554> horses <5483>.



4 Then I answered <6030> and said <0559> unto the angel <4397>
that talked <1696> with me, What <4100> [are] these <0428>, my
lord <0113>?



5 And the angel <4397> answered <6030> and said < 0559> unto me,
These <0428> [are] the four <0702> spirits < 7307> of the heavens
<8064>, which go <3318> forth <3318> from standing <3320> before
<5921> the Lord <0113> of all <3605> the earth <0776>.



6 The black <7838> horses <5483> which <0834> [are] therein go
<3318> forth <3318> into <0413> the north < 6828> country <0776>;
and the white <3836> go <3318> forth <3318> after <0310> them;
and the grisled <1261> go <3318> forth <3318> toward <0413> the
south <8486> country <0776>.



7 And the bay <0554> went <3318> forth <3318>, and sought
<1245> to go <3212> that they might walk <1980> to and fro
through the earth <0776>: and he said <0559>, Get < 3212> you
hence <3212>, walk <1980> to and fro through the earth <0776>.
So they walked <1980> to and fro through the earth < 0776>.



8 Then cried <2199> he upon me, and spake <1696> unto me,
saying <0559>, Behold <7200>, these that go < 3318> toward <0413>
the north <6828> country <0776> have quieted < 5117> my spirit
<7307> in the north <6828> country <0776>.



9. And the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> came < 1961> unto me,
saying <0559>,



10 Take <3947> of [them of] the captivity <1473>, [even] of
Heldai <2469>, of Tobijah <2900>, and of Jedaiah < 3048>, which
<0834> are come <0935> from Babylon <0894>, and come <0935> thou
the same <1931> day <3117>, and go <0935> into the house <1004>
of Josiah <2977> the son <1121> of Zephaniah < 6846>;



11 Then take <3947> silver <3701> and gold < 2091>, and make
<6213> crowns <5850>, and set <7760> [them] upon the head <7218>
of Joshua <3091> the son <1121> of Josedech < 3087>, the high
<1419> priest <3548>;



12 And speak <0559> unto him, saying <0559>, Thus <3541>
speaketh <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>, saying <0559>,
Behold <2009> the man <0376> whose name <8034> [is] The BRANCH
<6780>; and he shall grow <6779> up out of his place <8478>, and
he shall build <1129> the temple <1964> of the LORD <3068>:



13 Even he shall build <1129> the temple <1964> of the LORD
<3068>; and he shall bear <5375> the glory < 1935>, and shall sit
<3427> and rule <4910> upon his throne <3678>; and he shall be a
priest <3548> upon his throne <3678>: and the counsel <6098> of
peace <7965> shall be between <0996> them both < 8147>.



14 And the crowns <5850> shall be to Helem <2494>, and to
Tobijah <2900>, and to Jedaiah <3048>, and to Hen < 2581> the son
<1121> of Zephaniah <6846>, for a memorial < 2146> in the temple
<1964> of the LORD <3068>.



15 And they [that are] far <7350> off shall come < 0935> and
build <1129> in the temple <1964> of the LORD < 3068>, and ye
shall know <3045> that the LORD <3068> of hosts < 6635> hath sent
<7971> me unto you. And [this] shall come <1961> to pass, if ye
will diligently obey <8085> the voice <6963> of the LORD <3068>
your God <0430>.



Zechariah 7



1. And it came <1961> to pass in the fourth <0702> year <8141>
of king <4428> Darius <1867>, [that] the word < 1697> of the LORD
<3068> came <1961> unto Zechariah <2148> in the fourth <0702>
[day] of the ninth <8671> month <2320>, [even] in Chisleu <3691>;



2 When they had sent <7971> unto the house <1008> of God <1008>
Sherezer <8272> and Regemmelech <7278>, and their men <0582>, to
pray <2470> before the LORD <3068>,



3 [And] to speak <0559> unto the priests <3548> which <0834>
[were] in the house <1004> of the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>,
and to the prophets <5030>, saying <0559>, Should I weep <1058>
in the fifth <2549> month <2320>, separating < 5144> myself, as I
have done <6213> these <2088> so many years < 8141>?



4 Then came <1961> the word <1697> of the LORD < 3068> of hosts
<6635> unto me, saying <0559>,



5 Speak <0559> unto all <3605> the people < 5971> of the land
<0776>, and to the priests <3548>, saying <0559> , When <3588> ye
fasted <6684> and mourned <5594> in the fifth < 2549> and seventh
<7637> [month], even those <2088> seventy <7657> years <8141>,
did ye at all fast <6684> unto me, [even] to me?



6 And when <3588> ye did eat <0398>, and when < 3588> ye did
drink <8354>, did not ye eat <0398> [for yourselves], and drink
<8354> [for yourselves]?



7 [Should ye] not [hear] the words <1697> which < 0834> the LORD
<3068> hath cried <7121> by the former <7223> prophets <5030>,
when Jerusalem <3389> was inhabited <3427> and in prosperity
<7961>, and the cities <5892> thereof round < 5439> about her,
when [men] inhabited <3427> the south <5045> and the plain
<8219>?



8. And the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> came < 1961> unto
Zechariah <2148>, saying <0559>,



9 Thus <3541> speaketh <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>,
saying <0559>, Execute <8199> true <0571> judgment <4941>, and
shew <6213> mercy <2617> and compassions <7356> every man <0376>
to his brother <0251>:



10 And oppress <6231> not the widow <0490>, nor the fatherless
<3490>, the stranger <1616>, nor the poor <6041> ; and let none
<0408> of you imagine <2803> evil <7451> against his brother
<0251> in your heart <3824>.



11 But they refused <3985> to hearken <7181>, and pulled <5414>
away the shoulder <3802>, and stopped <3513> their ears <0241>,
that they should not hear <8085>.



12 Yea, they made <7760> their hearts <3820> [as] an adamant
<8068> stone <8068>, lest they should hear < 8085> the law <8451>,
and the words <1697> which <0834> the LORD < 3068> of hosts
<6635> hath sent <7971> in his spirit <7307> by the former
<7223> prophets <5030>: therefore came <1961> a great <1419>
wrath <7110> from the LORD <3068> of hosts < 6635>.



13 Therefore it is come <1961> to pass, [that] as he cried
<7121>, and they would not hear <8085>; so < 3651> they cried
<7121>, and I would not hear <8085>, saith < 0559> the LORD
<3068> of hosts <6635>:



14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind <5590> among < 5921>
all <3605> the nations <1471> whom <0834> they knew <3045> not.
Thus the land <0776> was desolate <8074> after < 0310> them, that
no man passed <5674> through nor returned <7725>: for they laid
<7760> the pleasant <2532> land <0776> desolate <8047>.



Zechariah 8



1. Again the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>
came <1961> [to me], saying <0559>,



2 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; I
was jealous <7065> for Zion <6726> with great < 1419> jealousy
<7068>, and I was jealous <7065> for her with great <1419> fury
<2534>.



3 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068>; I am returned
<7725> unto Zion <6726>, and will dwell <7931> in the midst
<8432> of Jerusalem <3389>: and Jerusalem <3389> shall be called
<7121> a city <5892> of truth <0571>; and the mountain <2022> of
the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> the holy <6944> mountain <2022>.



4 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
There shall yet <5750> old <2205> men and old < 2205> women dwell
<3427> in the streets <7339> of Jerusalem <3389> , and every man
<0376> with his staff <4938> in his hand <3027> for very <7230>
age <3117>.



5 And the streets <7339> of the city <5892> shall be full
<4390> of boys <3206> and girls <3207> playing <7832> in the
streets <7339> thereof.



6 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; If
<3588> it be marvellous <6381> in the eyes < 5869> of the remnant
<7611> of this <2088> people <5971> in these <1992> days <3117>,
should it also <1571> be marvellous <6381> in mine eyes <5869>?
saith <5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>.



7 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
Behold <2005>, I will save <3467> my people < 5971> from the east
<4217> country <0776>, and from the west country < 0776>;



8 And I will bring <0935> them, and they shall dwell < 7931> in
the midst <8432> of Jerusalem <3389>: and they shall be my
people <5971>, and I will be their God <0430>, in truth <0571>
and in righteousness <6666>.



9. Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
Let your hands <3027> be strong <2388>, ye that hear <8085> in
these <0428> days <3117> these <0428> words < 1697> by the mouth
<6310> of the prophets <5030>, which <0834> [were] in the day
<3117> [that] the foundation <3248> of the house < 1004> of the
LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> was laid, that the temple <1964>
might be built <1129>.



10 For before <6440> these <1992> days <3117> there was no
<3808> hire <7939> for man <0120>, nor < 0369> any hire <7939>
for beast <0929>; neither <0369> [was there any] peace <7965> to
him that went <3318> out or came <0935> in because <4480> of the
affliction <6862>: for I set <7971> all <3605> men <0120> every
one <0376> against his neighbour <7453>.



11 But now <6258> I [will] not [be] unto the residue < 7611> of
this <2088> people <5971> as in the former < 7223> days <3117>,
saith <5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>.



12 For the seed <2233> [shall be] prosperous <7965>; the vine
<1612> shall give <5414> her fruit <6529>, and the ground <0776>
shall give <5414> her increase <2981>, and the heavens <8064>
shall give <5414> their dew <2919>; and I will cause the remnant
<7611> of this <2088> people <5971> to possess <5157> all <3605>
these <0428> [things].



13 And it shall come <1961> to pass, [that] as ye were a curse
<7045> among the heathen <1471>, O house <1004> of Judah <3063>,
and house <1004> of Israel <3478>; so will I save < 3467> you,
and ye shall be a blessing <1293>: fear <3372> not, [but] let
your hands <3027> be strong <2388>.



14 For thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
As I thought <2161> to punish <7489> you, when your fathers <1>
provoked me to wrath <7107>, saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of
hosts <6635>, and I repented <5162> not:



15 So <3651> again <7725> have I thought <2161> in these <0428>
days <3117> to do well <3190> unto Jerusalem < 3389> and to the
house <1004> of Judah <3063>: fear <3372> ye not.



16 These <0428> [are] the things that ye shall do < 6213>; Speak
<1696> ye every man <0376> the truth <0571> to his neighbour
<7453>; execute <8199> the judgment <4941> of truth <0571> and
peace <7965> in your gates <8179>:



17 And let none <0408> of you imagine evil <7451> in your
hearts <3820> against his neighbour <7453>; and love <0157> no
<3808> false <8267> oath <7621>: for all < 3605> these <0428>
[are things] that I hate <8130>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>.



18. And the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> came
<1961> unto me, saying <0559>,



19 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
The fast <6685> of the fourth <7243> [month], and the fast
<6685> of the fifth <2549>, and the fast <6685> of the seventh
<7637>, and the fast <6685> of the tenth <6224>, shall be to the
house <1004> of Judah <3063> joy <8342> and gladness <8057>, and
cheerful <2896> feasts <4150>; therefore love < 0157> the truth
<0571> and peace <7965>.



20 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>;
[It shall] yet <5750> [come to pass], that there shall come
<0935> people <5971>, and the inhabitants <3427> of many <7227>
cities <5892>:



21 And the inhabitants <3427> of one <0259> [city] shall go
<1980> to another <0259>, saying <0559>, Let us go <3212>
speedily <1980> to pray <2470> before the LORD < 3068>, and to
seek <1245> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>: I will go <3212>
also <1571>.



22 Yea, many <7227> people <5971> and strong < 6099> nations
<1471> shall come <0935> to seek <1245> the LORD <3068> of hosts
<6635> in Jerusalem <3389>, and to pray <2470> before the LORD
<3068>.



23 Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>; In
those <1992> days <3117> [it shall come to pass], that ten
<6235> men <0582> shall take <2388> hold < 2388> out of all
<3605> languages <3956> of the nations <1471>, even shall take
<2388> hold <2388> of the skirt <3671> of him that is a Jew
<3064>, saying <0559>, We will go <3212> with you: for we have
heard <8085> [that] God <0430> [is] with you.



Zechariah 9



1. The burden <4853> of the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> in
the land <0776> of Hadrach <2317>, and Damascus < 1834> [shall
be] the rest <4496> thereof: when <3588> the eyes < 5869> of man
<0120>, as of all <3605> the tribes <7626> of Israel <3478>,
[shall be] toward the LORD <3068>.



2 And Hamath <2574> also <1571> shall border < 1379> thereby;
Tyrus <6865>, and Zidon <6721>, though <3588> it be very <3966>
wise <2449>.



3 And Tyrus <6865> did build <1129> herself a strong <4692>
hold <4692>, and heaped <6651> up silver <3701> as the dust
<6083>, and fine gold <2742> as the mire <2916> of the streets
<2351>.



4 Behold <2009>, the Lord <0136> will cast < 3423> her out, and
he will smite <5221> her power <2428> in the sea < 3220>; and she
shall be devoured <0398> with fire <0784>.



5 Ashkelon <0831> shall see <7200> [it], and fear <3372>; Gaza
<5804> also [shall see it], and be very <3966> sorrowful <2342>,
and Ekron <6138>; for her expectation <4007> shall be ashamed
<0954>; and the king <4428> shall perish <6> from Gaza <5804>,
and Ashkelon <0831> shall not be inhabited <3427>.



6 And a bastard <4464> shall dwell <3427> in Ashdod <0795>, and
I will cut <3772> off the pride <1347> of the Philistines <6430>.



7 And I will take <5493> away <5493> his blood < 1818> out of
his mouth <6310>, and his abominations <8251> from between
<0996> his teeth <8127>: but he that remaineth < 7604>, even
<1571> he, [shall be] for our God <0430>, and he shall be as a
governor <0441> in Judah <3063>, and Ekron < 6138> as a Jebusite
<2983>.



8 And I will encamp <2583> about mine house <1004> because of
the army <4675>, because of him that passeth <5674> by, and
because of him that returneth <7725>: and no <3808> oppressor
<5065> shall pass <5674> through them any more < 5750>: for now
<6258> have I seen <7200> with mine eyes <5869>.



9. Rejoice <1523> greatly <3966>, O daughter < 1323> of Zion
<6726>; shout <7321>, O daughter <1323> of Jerusalem <3389>:
behold <2009>, thy King <4428> cometh <0935> unto thee: he [is]
just <6662>, and having salvation <3467>; lowly < 6041>, and
riding <7392> upon an ass <2543>, and upon a colt < 5895> the
foal <1121> of an ass <0860>.



10 And I will cut <3772> off the chariot <7393> from Ephraim
<0669>, and the horse <5483> from Jerusalem < 3389>, and the
battle <4421> bow <7198> shall be cut <3772> off: and he shall
speak <1696> peace <7965> unto the heathen < 1471>: and his
dominion <4915> [shall be] from sea <3220> [even] to sea <3220>,
and from the river <5104> [even] to the ends <0657> of the earth
<0776>.



11 As for thee also <1571>, by the blood <1818> of thy covenant
<1285> I have sent <7971> forth thy prisoners < 0615> out of the
pit <0953> wherein [is] no <3808> water <4325>.



12. Turn <7725> you to the strong <1225> hold < 1225>, ye
prisoners <0615> of hope <8615>: even <1571> to day <3117> do I
declare <5046> [that] I will render <7725> double < 4932> unto
thee;



13 When <3588> I have bent <1869> Judah <3063> for me, filled
<4390> the bow <7198> with Ephraim <0669>, and raised <5782> up
thy sons <1121>, O Zion <6726>, against <5921> thy sons <1121>,
O Greece <3120>, and made <7760> thee as the sword <2719> of a
mighty <1368> man.



14 And the LORD <3068> shall be seen <7200> over < 5921> them,
and his arrow <2671> shall go <3318> forth < 3318> as the
lightning <1300>: and the Lord <0136> GOD <3069> shall blow
<8628> the trumpet <7782>, and shall go <1980> with whirlwinds
<5591> of the south <8486>.



15 The LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> shall defend < 1598> them;
and they shall devour <0398>, and subdue <3533> with sling
<7050> stones <68>; and they shall drink <8354>, [and] make a
noise <6963> as through wine <3196>; and they shall be filled
<4390> like bowls <4219>, [and] as the corners < 2106> of the
altar <4196>.



16 And the LORD <3068> their God <0430> shall save <3467> them
in that day <3117> as the flock <6629> of his people <5971>: for
they [shall be as] the stones <68> of a crown <5145>, lifted
<5264> up as an ensign <5264> upon his land < 0127>.



17 For how <4100> great [is] his goodness <2898>, and how
<4100> great [is] his beauty <3308>! corn <1715> shall make the
young <0970> men cheerful <5107>, and new <8492> wine <8492> the
maids <1330>.



Zechariah 10



1. Ask <7592> ye of the LORD <3068> rain <4306> in the time
<6256> of the latter <4456> rain <4456>; [so] the LORD <3068>
shall make <6213> bright <2385> clouds <2385>, and give <5414>
them showers <1653> of rain <4306>, to every < 0376> one <0376>
grass <6212> in the field <7704>.



2 For the idols <8655> have spoken <1696> vanity < 0205>, and
the diviners <7080> have seen <2372> a lie < 8267>, and have told
<1696> false <7723> dreams <2472>; they comfort <5162> in vain
<1892>: therefore they went <5265> their way as a flock <6629>,
they were troubled <6031>, because <3588> [there was] no <0369>
shepherd <7462>.



3 Mine anger <0639> was kindled <2734> against < 5921> the
shepherds <7462>, and I punished <6485> the goats < 6260>: for
the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635> hath visited < 6485> his flock
<5739> the house <1004> of Judah <3063>, and hath made <7760>
them as his goodly <1935> horse <5483> in the battle <4421>.



4 Out of him came <3318> forth <3318> the corner < 6438>, out of
him the nail <3489>, out of him the battle <4421> bow <7198>,
out of him every <3605> oppressor <5065> together < 3162>.



5. And they shall be as mighty <1368> [men], which tread <0947>
down [their enemies] in the mire <2916> of the streets < 2351> in
the battle <4421>: and they shall fight <3898>, because <3588>
the LORD <3068> [is] with them, and the riders <7392> on horses
<5483> shall be confounded <3001>.



6 And I will strengthen <1396> the house <1004> of Judah <3063>,
and I will save <3467> the house <1004> of Joseph <3130>, and I
will bring <7725> them again <7725> to place < 3427> them; for I
have mercy <7355> upon them: and they shall be as though <0834>
I had not cast <2186> them off: for I [am] the LORD < 3068> their
God <0430>, and will hear <6030> them.



7 And [they of] Ephraim <0669> shall be like a mighty < 1368>
[man], and their heart <3820> shall rejoice <8055> as through
wine <3196>: yea, their children <1121> shall see < 7200> [it],
and be glad <8056>; their heart <3820> shall rejoice <1523> in
the LORD <3068>.



8 I will hiss <8319> for them, and gather <6908> them; for I
have redeemed <6299> them: and they shall increase < 7235> as
they have increased <7235>.



9 And I will sow <2232> them among the people <5971>: and they
shall remember <2142> me in far <4801> countries; and they shall
live <2421> with their children <1121>, and turn < 7725> again
<7725>.



10 I will bring <7725> them again <7725> also out of the land
<0776> of Egypt <4714>, and gather <6908> them out of Assyria
<0804>; and I will bring <0935> them into <0413> the land <0776>
of Gilead <1568> and Lebanon <3844>; and [place] shall not be
found <4672> for them.



11 And he shall pass <5674> through the sea <3220> with
affliction <6869>, and shall smite <5221> the waves <1530> in
the sea <3220>, and all <3605> the deeps <4688> of the river
<2975> shall dry <3001> up: and the pride <1347> of Assyria
<0804> shall be brought <3381> down <3381>, and the sceptre
<7626> of Egypt <4714> shall depart <5493> away.



12 And I will strengthen <1396> them in the LORD < 3068>; and
they shall walk <1980> up and down in his name <8034>, saith
<5002> the LORD <3068>.



Zechariah 11



1. Open <6605> thy doors <1817>, O Lebanon < 3844>, that the
fire <0784> may devour <0398> thy cedars <0730>.



2 Howl <3213>, fir <1265> tree; for the cedar < 0730> is fallen
<5307>; because <0834> the mighty <0117> are spoiled <7703>:
howl <3213>, O ye oaks <0437> of Bashan <1316>; for the forest
<3293> of the vintage <1208> is come <3381> down <3381>.



3 [There is] a voice <6963> of the howling <3213> of the
shepherds <7462>; for their glory <0155> is spoiled <7703>: a
voice <6963> of the roaring <7581> of young < 3715> lions <3715>;
for the pride <1347> of Jordan <3383> is spoiled < 7703>.



4. Thus <3541> saith <0559> the LORD <3068> my God <0430>; Feed
<7462> the flock <6629> of the slaughter <2028>;



5 Whose <0834> possessors <7069> slay <2026> them, and hold
<0816> themselves not guilty <0816>: and they that sell <4376>
them say <0559>, Blessed <1288> [be] the LORD < 3068>; for I am
rich <6238>: and their own shepherds <7462> pity < 2550> them not.



6 For I will no <3808> more <5750> pity <2550> the inhabitants
<3427> of the land <0776>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>: but, lo,
I will deliver <4672> the men <0120> every < 0376> one <0376>
into his neighbour's <7453> hand <3027>, and into the hand
<3027> of his king <4428>: and they shall smite < 3807> the land
<0776>, and out of their hand <3027> I will not deliver <5337>
[them].



7 And I will feed <7462> the flock <6629> of slaughter <2028>,
[even <3651>] you, O poor <6041> of the flock < 6629>. And I took
<3947> unto me two <8147> staves <4731>; the one <0259> I called
<7121> Beauty <5278>, and the other <0259> I called <7121> Bands
<2256>; and I fed <7462> the flock <6629>.



8 Three <7969> shepherds <7462> also I cut < 3582> off in one
<0259> month <3391>; and my soul <5315> lothed <7114> them, and
their soul <5315> also <1571> abhorred <0973> me.



9 Then said <0559> I, I will not feed <7462> you: that that
dieth <4191>, let it die <4191>; and that that is to be cut
<3582> off, let it be cut <3582> off; and let the rest <7604>
eat <0398> every <0802> one <0802> the flesh <1320> of another
<7468>.



10 And I took <3947> my staff <4731>, [even < 0853>] Beauty
<5278>, and cut <1438> it asunder, that I might break <6565> my
covenant <1285> which <0834> I had made <3772> with all <3605>
the people <5971>.



11 And it was broken <6565> in that day <3117>: and so <3651>
the poor <6041> of the flock <6629> that waited < 8104> upon me
knew <3045> that it [was] the word <1697> of the LORD <3068>.



12 And I said <0559> unto them, If <0518> ye think <5869> good
<2896>, give <3051> [me] my price <7939>; and if <0518> not,
forbear <2308>. So they weighed <8254> for my price <7939>
thirty <7970> [pieces] of silver <3701>.



13 And the LORD <3068> said <0559> unto me, Cast < 7993> it unto
the potter <3335>: a goodly <0145> price <3365> that I was
prised <3365> at of them. And I took <3947> the thirty <7970>
[pieces] of silver <3701>, and cast <7993> them to the potter
<3335> in the house <1004> of the LORD <3068>.



14 Then I cut <1438> asunder mine other <8145> staff <4731>,
[even <0853>] Bands <2256>, that I might break < 6565> the
brotherhood between <0996> Judah <3063> and Israel <3478>.



15. And the LORD <3068> said <0559> unto me, Take <3947> unto
thee yet <5750> the instruments <3627> of a foolish <0196>
shepherd <7462>.



16 For, lo, I will raise <6965> up a shepherd <7462> in the
land <0776>, [which] shall not visit <6485> those that be cut
<3582> off, neither <3808> shall seek <1245> the young <5288>
one, nor <3808> heal <7495> that that is broken < 7665>, nor
<3808> feed <3557> that that standeth <5324> still: but he shall
eat <0398> the flesh <1320> of the fat <1277>, and tear <6561>
their claws <6541> in pieces.



17 Woe <1945> to the idol <0457> shepherd < 7473> that leaveth
<5800> the flock <6629>! the sword <2719> [shall be] upon his
arm <2220>, and upon his right <3225> eye <5869> : his arm <2220>
shall be clean dried <3001> up, and his right <3225> eye <5869>
shall be utterly darkened <3543>.



Zechariah 12



1. The burden <4853> of the word <1697> of the LORD <3068> for
Israel <3478>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>, which stretcheth
<5186> forth the heavens <8064>, and layeth the foundation
<3248> of the earth <0776>, and formeth <3335> the spirit <7307>
of man <0120> within <7130> him.



2 Behold <2009>, I will make <7760> Jerusalem < 3389> a cup
<5592> of trembling <7478> unto all <3605> the people <5971>
round <5439> about, when they shall be in the siege < 4692> both
<1571> against <5921> Judah <3063> [and] against <5921>
Jerusalem <3389>.



3 And in that day <3117> will I make <7760> Jerusalem <3389> a
burdensome <4614> stone <68> for all <3605> people <5971>: all
<3605> that burden <6006> themselves with it shall be cut <8295>
in pieces, though all <3605> the people <1471> of the earth
<0776> be gathered <0622> together against < 5921> it.



4 In that day <3117>, saith <5002> the LORD < 3068>, I will
smite <5221> every <3605> horse <5483> with astonishment <8541>,
and his rider <7392> with madness <7697>: and I will open <6491>
mine eyes <5869> upon the house <1004> of Judah < 3063>, and will
smite <5221> every <3605> horse <5483> of the people <5971> with
blindness <5788>.



5 And the governors <0441> of Judah <3063> shall say <0559> in
their heart <3820>, The inhabitants <3427> of Jerusalem <3389>
[shall be] my strength <0556> in the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>
their God <0430>.



6 In that day <3117> will I make <7760> the governors <0441> of
Judah <3063> like an hearth <3595> of fire < 0784> among the wood
<6086>, and like a torch <3940> of fire <0784> in a sheaf <5995>;
and they shall devour <0398> all <3605> the people <5971> round
<5439> about <1157>, on <5921> the right < 3225> hand <3225> and
on <5921> the left <8040>: and Jerusalem <3389> shall be
inhabited <3427> again <5750> in her own place < 8478>, [even] in
Jerusalem <3389>.



7 The LORD <3068> also shall save <3467> the tents <0168> of
Judah <3063> first <7223>, that the glory <8597> of the house
<1004> of David <1732> and the glory <8597> of the inhabitants
<3427> of Jerusalem <3389> do not magnify <1431> [themselves]
against <5921> Judah <3063>.



8 In that day <3117> shall the LORD <3068> defend <1598> the
inhabitants <3427> of Jerusalem <3389>; and he that is feeble
<3782> among them at that day <3117> shall be as David <1732>;
and the house <1004> of David <1732> [shall be] as God <0430>,
as the angel <4397> of the LORD <3068> before < 6440> them.



9. And it shall come <1961> to pass in that day < 3117>, [that]
I will seek <1245> to destroy <8045> all <3605> the nations
<1471> that come <0935> against <5921> Jerusalem <3389>.



10 And I will pour <8210> upon the house <1004> of David <1732>,
and upon the inhabitants <3427> of Jerusalem <3389>, the spirit
<7307> of grace <2580> and of supplications < 8469>: and they
shall look <5027> upon me whom they have pierced < 1856>, and
they shall mourn <5594> for him, as one mourneth < 5594> for
[his] only <3173> [son], and shall be in bitterness < 4843> for
him, as one that is in bitterness <4843> for [his] firstborn
<1060>.



11 In that day <3117> shall there be a great <1431> mourning
<4553> in Jerusalem <3389>, as the mourning < 4553> of
Hadadrimmon <1910> in the valley <1237> of Megiddon <4023>.



12 And the land <0776> shall mourn <5594>, every family <4940>
apart <0905>; the family <4940> of the house < 1004> of David
<1732> apart <0905>, and their wives <0802> apart <0905>; the
family <4940> of the house <1004> of Nathan < 5416> apart <0905>,
and their wives <0802> apart <0905>;



13 The family <4940> of the house <1004> of Levi < 3878> apart
<0905>, and their wives <0802> apart <0905>; the family <4940>
of Shimei <8097> apart <0905>, and their wives < 0802> apart
<0905>;



14 All <3605> the families <4940> that remain < 7604>, every
family <4940> apart <0905>, and their wives < 0802> apart <0905>.



Zechariah 13



1. In that day <3117> there shall be a fountain < 4726> opened
<6605> to the house <1004> of David <1732> and to the
inhabitants <3427> of Jerusalem <3389> for sin < 2403> and for
uncleanness <5079>.



2 And it shall come <1961> to pass in that day <3117> , saith
<5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>, [that] I will cut <3772>
off the names <8034> of the idols <6091> out of the land <0776>,
and they shall no <3808> more <5750> be remembered <2142>: and
also <1571> I will cause the prophets <5030> and the unclean
<2932> spirit <7307> to pass <5674> out of the land <0776>.



3 And it shall come <1961> to pass, [that] when < 3588> any
<0376> shall yet <5750> prophesy <5197>, then his father <2> and
his mother <0517> that begat <3205> him shall say < 0559> unto
him, Thou shalt not live <2421>; for thou speakest < 1696> lies
<8267> in the name <8034> of the LORD <3068>: and his father <2>
and his mother <0517> that begat <3205> him shall thrust <1856>
him through when he prophesieth <5012>.



4 And it shall come <1961> to pass in that day <3117> , [that]
the prophets <5030> shall be ashamed <0954> every < 0376> one
<0376> of his vision <2384>, when he hath prophesied <5012>;
neither <3808> shall they wear <3847> a rough < 8181> garment
<0155> to deceive <3884>:



5 But he shall say <0559>, I [am] no <3808> prophet <5030>, I
[am] an husbandman <5647>; for man <0120> taught me to keep

<0428> wounds <4347> in thine hands <3027>? Then he shall answer

7. Awake <5782>, O sword <2719>, against <5921> my shepherd
<7462>, and against <5921> the man <1397> [that is] my fellow
<5997>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>: smite
<5221> the shepherd <7462>, and the sheep <6629> shall be
scattered <6327>: and I will turn <7725> mine hand <3027> upon
the little <6819> ones.



8 And it shall come <1961> to pass, [that] in all < 3605> the
land <0776>, saith <5002> the LORD <3068>, two <8147> parts
<6310> therein shall be cut <3772> off [and] die < 1478>; but the
third <7992> shall be left <3498> therein.



9 And I will bring <0935> the third <7992> part through the
fire <0784>, and will refine <6884> them as silver <3701> is
refined <6884>, and will try <0974> them as gold < 2091> is tried
<0974>: they shall call <7121> on my name <8034> , and I will
hear <6030> them: I will say <0559>, It [is] my people <5971>:
and they shall say <0559>, The LORD <3068> [is] my God <0430>.



Zechariah 14



1. Behold <2009>, the day <3117> of the LORD < 3068> cometh
<0935>, and thy spoil <7998> shall be divided < 2505> in the
midst <7130> of thee.



2 For I will gather <0622> all <3605> nations < 1471> against
<0413> Jerusalem <3389> to battle <4421>; and the city <5892>
shall be taken <3947>, and the houses <1004> rifled <8155>, and
the women <0802> ravished <7693>; and half < 2677> of the city
<5892> shall go <3318> forth <3318> into captivity <1473>, and
the residue <3499> of the people <5971> shall not be cut <3772>
off from the city <5892>.



3 Then shall the LORD <3068> go <3318> forth < 3318>, and fight
<3898> against those <1992> nations <1471>, as when <3117> he
fought <3898> in the day <3117> of battle <7128> .



4 And his feet <7272> shall stand <5975> in that day <3117>
upon the mount <2022> of Olives <2132>, which < 0834> [is] before
Jerusalem <3389> on the east <6924>, and the mount <2022> of
Olives <2132> shall cleave <1234> in the midst < 2677> thereof
toward the east <4217> and toward the west <3220>, [and there
shall be] a very <3966> great <1419> valley < 1516>; and half
<2677> of the mountain <2022> shall remove < 4185> toward the
north <6828>, and half <2677> of it toward the south <5045>.



5 And ye shall flee <5127> [to] the valley <1516> of the
mountains <2022>; for the valley <1516> of the mountains <2022>
shall reach <5060> unto Azal <0682>: yea, ye shall flee <5127>,
like as ye fled <5127> from before <6440> the earthquake <7494>
in the days <3117> of Uzziah <5818> king <4428> of Judah <3063>:
and the LORD <3068> my God <0430> shall come < 0935>, [and] all
<3605> the saints <6918> with thee.



6 And it shall come <1961> to pass in that day <3117> , [that]
the light <0216> shall not be clear <3368>, [nor] dark <7087>:



7 But it shall be one <0259> day <3117> which < 1931> shall be
known <3045> to the LORD <3068>, not day <3117>, nor <3808>
night <3915>: but it shall come to pass, [that] at evening
<6153> time <6256> it shall be light <0216>.



8. And it shall be in that day <3117>, [that] living < 2416>
waters <4325> shall go <3318> out from Jerusalem < 3389>; half
<2677> of them toward <0413> the former <6931> sea <3220>, and
half <2677> of them toward <0413> the hinder < 0314> sea <3220>:
in summer <7019> and in winter <2778> shall it be.



9 And the LORD <3068> shall be king <4428> over < 5921> all
<3605> the earth <0776>: in that day <3117> shall there be one
<0259> LORD <3068>, and his name <8034> one < 0259>.



10 All <3605> the land <0776> shall be turned < 5437> as a plain
<6160> from Geba <1387> to Rimmon <7417> south <5045> of
Jerusalem <3389>: and it shall be lifted <7213> up, and
inhabited <3427> in her place <8478>, from Benjamin's <1144>
gate <8179> unto the place <4725> of the first < 7223> gate
<8179>, unto the corner <6434> gate <8179>, and [from] the tower
<4026> of Hananeel <2606> unto the king's <4428> winepresses
<3342>.



11 And [men] shall dwell <3427> in it, and there shall be no
<3808> more <5750> utter destruction <2764>; but Jerusalem
<3389> shall be safely <0983> inhabited <3427>.



12 And this <2063> shall be the plague <4046> wherewith <0834>
the LORD <3068> will smite <5062> all <3605> the people <5971>
that have fought <6633> against <5921> Jerusalem < 3389>; Their
flesh <1320> shall consume <4743> away while they stand <5975>
upon their feet <7272>, and their eyes <5869> shall consume
<4743> away in their holes <2356>, and their tongue <3956> shall
consume <4743> away in their mouth <6310>.



13 And it shall come <1961> to pass in that day < 3117>, [that]
a great <7227> tumult <4103> from the LORD < 3068> shall be among
them; and they shall lay hold <2388> every <0376> one <0376> on
the hand <3027> of his neighbour <7453>, and his hand <3027>
shall rise <5927> up against <5921> the hand < 3027> of his
neighbour <7453>.



14 And Judah <3063> also <1571> shall fight < 3898> at Jerusalem
<3389>; and the wealth <2428> of all <3605> the heathen <1471>
round <5439> about <1157> shall be gathered < 0622> together,
gold <2091>, and silver <3701>, and apparel < 0899>, in great
<3966> abundance <7230>.



15 And so <3651> shall be the plague <4046> of the horse <5483>,
of the mule <6505>, of the camel <1581>, and of the ass <2543>,
and of all <3605> the beasts <0929> that shall be in these
<1992> tents <4264>, as this <2063> plague < 4046>.



16. And it shall come <1961> to pass, [that] every < 3605> one
that is left <3498> of all <3605> the nations < 1471> which came
<0935> against <5921> Jerusalem <3389> shall even go <5927> up
from year <8141> to year <8141> to worship < 7812> the King
<4428>, the LORD <3068> of hosts <6635>, and to keep <2287> the
feast <2282> of tabernacles <5521>.



17 And it shall be, [that] whoso <0834> will not come < 5927> up
of [all] the families <4940> of the earth <0776> unto Jerusalem
<3389> to worship <7812> the King <4428>, the LORD <3068> of
hosts <6635>, even upon them shall be no <3808> rain <4306>.



18 And if the family <4940> of Egypt <4714> go < 5927> not up,
and come <0935> not, that [have] no <3808> [rain]; there shall
be the plague <4046>, wherewith <0834> the LORD < 3068> will
smite <5062> the heathen <1471> that come <5927> not up to keep
<2287> the feast <2282> of tabernacles <5521>.



19 This <2063> shall be the punishment <2403> of Egypt <4714>,
and the punishment <2403> of all <3605> nations < 1471> that come
<5927> not up to keep <2287> the feast <2282> of tabernacles
<5521>.



20 In that day <3117> shall there be upon the bells < 4698> of
the horses <5483>, HOLINESS <6944> UNTO THE LORD < 3068>; and the
pots <5518> in the LORD'S <3068> house <1004> shall be like the
bowls <4219> before <6440> the altar <4196>.



21 Yea, every <3605> pot <5518> in Jerusalem < 3389> and in
Judah <3063> shall be holiness <6944> unto the LORD <3068> of
hosts <6635>: and all <3605> they that sacrifice < 2076> shall
come <0935> and take <3947> of them, and seethe < 1310> therein:
and in that day <3117> there shall be no <3808> more <5750> the
Canaanite <3669> in the house <1004> of the LORD < 3068> of hosts
