5 And there went <1607-ekporeuomai-> out unto him all < 3956-pas-

Jerusalem <2414-Hierosoluma->, and were all <3956-pas- > baptized

6 And John <2491-Ioannes-> was clothed <1746-enduo-> with

10 And straightway <2112-eutheos-> coming <0305- anabaino-> up

was put <3860-paradidomi-> in prison <3860-paradidomi- >, Jesus

15 And saying <3004-lego->, The time <2540-kairos-> is
fulfilled <4137-pleroo->, and the kingdom <0932-basileia- > of
God <2316-theos-> is at <1448-eggizo-> hand <1448- eggizo->:
repent <3340-metanoeo-> ye, and believe <1722-en-> the gospel

16 Now as he walked <4043-peripateo-> by the sea <2281- thalassa-

Simon-> and Andrew <0406-Andreas-> his brother <0080- adephos->
casting <0906-ballo-> a net <0293-amphiblestron-> into <1722-en-

17 And Jesus <2424-Iesous-> said <2036-epo-> unto them, Come

18 And straightway <2112-eutheos-> they forsook <0863- aphiemi->

19 And when he had gone <4260-probaino-> a little <3641- oligos-

Capernaum <2584-Kapernaoum->; and straightway <2112- eutheos-> on
the sabbath <4521-sabbaton-> day he entered <1525- eiserchomai->
into <1519-eis-> the synagogue <4864-sunagoge->, and taught

22 And they were astonished <1605-ekplesso-> at <1909- epi-> his
doctrine <1322-didache->: for he taught <1321-didasko- > them as
one that had <2192-echo-> authority <1849-exousia->, and not as
the scribes <1122-grammateus->.



23. And there was in their synagogue <4864-sunagoge-> a man
<0444-anthropos-> with an unclean <0169-akathartos-> spirit
<4151-pneuma->; and he cried <0349-anakrazo-> out,



24 Saying <3004-lego->, Let <1439-eao-> [us] alone <1439-eao->;
what <5101-tis-> have we to do with thee, thou Jesus < 2424-
Iesous-> of Nazareth <3478-Nazareth->? art thou come < 2064-
erchomai-> to destroy <0622-apollumi-> us? I know < 1492-eido->
thee who <5101-tis-> thou art <1488-ei->, the Holy <0040-hagios-
> One of God <2316-theos->.



25 And Jesus <2424-Iesous-> rebuked <2008-epitimao-> him,
saying <3004-lego->, Hold <5392-phimoo-> thy peace <5392-phimoo-
>, and come <1831-exerchomai-> out of him.



26 And when the unclean <0169-akathartos-> spirit <4151- pneuma-
> had torn <4682-sparasso-> him, and cried <2896- krazo-> with a
loud <3173-megas-> voice <5456-phone->, he came < 1831-exerchomai-
> out of him.



27 And they were all <3956-pas-> amazed <2284-thambeo- >,
insomuch <5620-hoste-> that they questioned <4802- suzeteo->
among <4314-pros-> themselves <0848-hautou->, saying <3004-lego-
>, What <5101-tis-> thing is this <3778-houtos->? what <5101-tis-

28 And immediately <2117-euthus-> his fame <0189-akoe- > spread
<1831-exerchomai-> abroad <1831-exerchomai-> throughout <1519-
eis-> all <3650-holos-> the region <4066-perichoros- > round
<4066-perichoros-> about <4066-perichoros-> Galilee <1056-
Galilaia->.



29. And forthwith <2112-eutheos->, when they were come < 1831-
exerchomai-> out of the synagogue <4864-sunagoge->, they entered
<2064-erchomai-> into <1519-eis-> the house <3614- oikia-> of
Simon <4613-Simon-> and Andrew <0406-Andreas->, with James <2385-
Iakobos-> and John <2491-Ioannes->.



30 But Simon's <4613-Simon-> wife's <3994-penthera-> mother
<3994-penthera-> lay <2621-katakeimai-> sick <4445- puresso-> of
a fever <4445-puresso->, and anon <2112-eutheos-> they tell
<3004-lego-> him of her.



31 And he came <4334-proserchomai-> and took <2902- krateo-> her
by the hand <5495-cheir->, and lifted <1453-egeiro-> her up; and
immediately <2112-eutheos-> the fever <4446-puretos-> left <0863-
aphiemi-> her, and she ministered <1247-diakoneo-> unto them.



32 And at even <1096-ginomai->, when <3753-hote-> the sun <2246-
helios-> did set <1416-duno->, they brought <5342- phero-> unto
him all <3956-pas-> that were diseased <2192-echo->, and them
that were possessed <1139-daimonizomai-> with devils < 1139-
daimonizomai->.



33 And all <3650-holos-> the city <4172-polis-> was gathered
<1996-episunago-> together <1996-episunago-> at < 4314-pros-> the
door <2374-thura->.



34 And he healed <2323-therapeuo-> many <4183-polus-> that were
sick <2560-kakos-> of divers <4164-poikilos-> diseases <3554-
nosos->, and cast <1544-ekballo-> out many <4183- polus-> devils
<1140-daimonion->; and suffered <0863-aphiemi-> not the devils
<1140-daimonion-> to speak <2980-laleo->, because < 3754-hoti->
they knew <1492-eido-> him.



35 And in the morning <4404-proi->, rising <0450- anistemi-> up
a great <3029-lian-> while before <1773-ennuchon-> day <1773-
ennuchon->, he went <1831-exerchomai-> out, and departed <0565-
aperchomai-> into <1519-eis-> a solitary <2048-eremos- > place

>.



36 And Simon <4613-Simon-> and they that were with him followed
<2614-katadioko-> after <2614-katadioko-> him.



37 And when they had found <2147-heurisko-> him, they said
<3004-lego-> unto him, All <3956-pas-> [men] seek < 2212-zeteo->
for thee.



38 And he said <3004-lego-> unto them, Let us go <0071- ago->
into <1519-eis-> the next <2192-echo-> towns <2969- komopolis->,
that I may preach <2784-kerusso-> there <1563-ekei-> also <2546-
kakei->: for therefore <5124-touto-> came <1831- exerchomai-> I
forth <1831-exerchomai->.



39 And he preached <2784-kerusso-> in their synagogues < 4864-
sunagoge-> throughout <1519-eis-> all <3650-holos-> Galilee
<1056-Galilaia->, and cast <1544-ekballo-> out devils <1140-
daimonion->.



40. And there came <2064-erchomai-> a leper <3015- lepros-> to
him, beseeching <3870-parakaleo-> him, and kneeling < 1120-
gonupeteo-> down to him, and saying <3004-lego-> unto him, If
<1437-ean-> thou wilt <2309-thelo->, thou canst < 1410-dunamai->
make <2511-katharizo-> me clean <2511-katharizo->.



41 And Jesus <2424-Iesous->, moved <4697-splagchnizomai- > with
compassion <4697-splagchnizomai->, put <1614-ekteino-> forth
<1614-ekteino-> [his] hand <5495-cheir->, and touched <0680-
haptomai-> him, and saith <3004-lego-> unto him, I will <2309-
thelo->; be thou clean <2511-katharizo->.



42 And as soon as he had spoken <2036-epo->, immediately <2112-
eutheos-> the leprosy <3014-lepra-> departed <0565- aperchomai->
from him, and he was cleansed <2511-katharizo->.



43 And he straitly charged <1690-embrimaomai-> him, and
forthwith <2112-eutheos-> sent <1544-ekballo-> him away <1544-
ekballo->;



44 And saith <3004-lego-> unto him, See <3708-horao-> thou say
<2036-epo-> nothing <3367-medeis-> to any <3367- medeis-> man
<3367-medeis->: but go <5217-hupago-> thy way, shew <1166-

<3056-logos->, insomuch <5620-hoste-> that Jesus < 2424-Iesous->

> the city <4172-polis->, but was without <1854-exo- > in desert

Mark 2



1. And again <3825-palin-> he entered <1525-eiserchomai- > into
<1519-eis-> Capernaum <2584-Kapernaoum-> after < 1223-dia->
[some] days <2250-hemera->; and it was noised <0191- akouo-> that
he was in the house <3624-oikos->.



2 And straightway <2112-eutheos-> many <4183-polus-> were
gathered <4863-sunago-> together <4863-sunago->, insomuch <5620-
hoste-> that there was no <3371-meketi-> room <5562- choreo-> to
receive <5562-choreo-> [them], no, not so <3366-mede-> much
<3366-mede-> as about <4314-pros-> the door <2374- thura->: and
he preached <2980-laleo-> the word <3056-logos-> unto them.



3 And they come <2064-erchomai-> unto him, bringing < 5342-phero-
> one sick <3885-paralutikos-> of the palsy <3885- paralutikos->,
which was borne <0142-airo-> of four <5064-tessares->.



4 And when they could <1410-dunamai-> not come <4331- proseggizo-
> nigh unto him for the press <3793-ochlos->, they uncovered

was: and when they had broken <1846-exorusso-> [it] up, they let

of the palsy <3885-paralutikos->, Son <5043-teknon->, thy sins
<0266-hamartia-> be forgiven <0863-aphiemi-> thee.



6 But there were certain <5100-tis-> of the scribes < 1122-
grammateus-> sitting <2521-kathemai-> there <1563- ekei->, and
reasoning <1260-dialogizomai-> in their hearts <2588- kardia->,



7 Why <5101-tis-> doth this <3778-houtos-> [man] thus <3779-
houto-> speak <2980-laleo-> blasphemies <0988- blasphemia->? who
<5101-tis-> can <1410-dunamai-> forgive <0863- aphiemi-> sins
<0266-hamartia-> but God <2316-theos-> only <1520- heis->?



8 And immediately <2112-eutheos-> when Jesus <2424- Iesous->
perceived <1921-epiginosko-> in his spirit <4151-pneuma- > that
they so <3779-houto-> reasoned <1260-dialogizomai-> within <1722-
en-> themselves <1438-heautou->, he said <2036-epo- > unto them,
Why <5101-tis-> reason <1260-dialogizomai-> ye these <5023-tauta-
> things in your <5216-humon-> hearts <2588-kardia- >?



9 Whether <5101-tis-> is it easier <2123-eukopoteros- > to say
<2036-epo-> to the sick <3885-paralutikos-> of the palsy <3885-
paralutikos->, [Thy] sins <0266-hamartia-> be forgiven <0863-
aphiemi-> thee; or <2228-e-> to say <2036-epo->, Arise <1453-
egeiro->, and take <0142-airo-> up thy bed <2895- krabbatos->,
and walk <4043-peripateo->?



10 But that ye may know <1492-eido-> that the Son <5207- huios->
of man <0444-anthropos-> hath <2192-echo-> power < 1849-exousia->
on <1909-epi-> earth <1093-ge-> to forgive <0863- aphiemi-> sins
<0266-hamartia->, (he saith <3004-lego-> to the sick <3885-
paralutikos-> of the palsy <3885-paralutikos->,)



11 I say <3004-lego-> unto thee, Arise <1453-egeiro-> , and take
<0142-airo-> up thy bed <2895-krabbatos->, and go < 5217-hupago->
thy way into <1519-eis-> thine <4675-sou-> house < 3624-oikos->.



12 And immediately <2112-eutheos-> he arose <1453- egeiro->,
took <0142-airo-> up the bed <2895-krabbatos->, and went <1831-
exerchomai-> forth <1831-exerchomai-> before <1726- enantion->
them all <3956-pas->; insomuch <5620-hoste-> that they were all
<3956-pas-> amazed <1839-existemi->, and glorified <1392-doxazo-

13. And he went <1831-exerchomai-> forth <1831- exerchomai->

>; and all <3956-pas-> the multitude <3793-ochlos-> resorted
<2064-erchomai-> unto him, and he taught <1321-didasko- > them.



14 And as he passed <3855-parago-> by, he saw <1492- eido-> Levi
<3018-Leuis-> the [son] of Alphaeus <0256-Alphaios-> sitting
<2521-kathemai-> at <1909-epi-> the receipt <5058- telonion-> of
custom <5058-telonion->, and said <3004-lego-> unto him, Follow
<0190-akoloutheo-> me. And he arose <0450-anistemi-> and
followed <0190-akoloutheo-> him.



15 And it came <1096-ginomai-> to pass, that, as Jesus < 2424-
Iesous-> sat <2621-katakeimai-> at <2621-katakeimai- > meat in
his house <3614-oikia->, many <4183-polus-> publicans <5052-
telesphoreo-> and sinners <0268-hamartolos-> sat < 4873-
sunanakeimai-> also <2532-kai-> together <4873- sunanakeimai->
with Jesus <2424-Iesous-> and his disciples <3101- mathetes->:
for there were many <4183-polus->, and they followed < 0190-
akoloutheo-> him.



16 And when the scribes <1122-grammateus-> and Pharisees <5330-
Pharisaios-> saw <1492-eido-> him eat <2068-esthio- > with
publicans <5052-telesphoreo-> and sinners <0268- hamartolos->,
they said <3004-lego-> unto his disciples <3101-mathetes- >, How
<5101-tis-> is it that he eateth <2068-esthio-> and drinketh
<4095-pino-> with publicans <5052-telesphoreo-> and sinners
<0268-hamartolos->?



17 When Jesus <2424-Iesous-> heard <0191-akouo-> [it], he saith
<3004-lego-> unto them, They that are whole <2480-ischuo- > have
<2192-echo-> no <3756-ou-> need <5532-chreia-> of the physician
<2395-iatros->, but they that are sick <2560-kakos->: I came
<2064-erchomai-> not to call <2564-kaleo-> the righteous <1342-
dikaios->, but sinners <0268-hamartolos-> to repentance <3341-
metanoia->.



18. And the disciples <3101-mathetes-> of John <2491- Ioannes->
and of the Pharisees <5330-Pharisaios-> used <1510-eimi- > to
fast <3522-nesteuo->: and they come <2064-erchomai-> and say
<3004-lego-> unto him, Why <1302-diati-> do the disciples <3101-
mathetes-> of John <2491-Ioannes-> and of the Pharisees <5330-
Pharisaios-> fast <3522-nesteuo->, but thy disciples < 3101-
mathetes-> fast <3522-nesteuo-> not?



19 And Jesus <2424-Iesous-> said <2036-epo-> unto them, Can
<1410-dunamai-> the children <5207-huios-> of the bridechamber
<3567-numphon-> fast <3522-nesteuo->, while <3739- hos-> the
bridegroom <3566-numphios-> is with them? as long <5550- chronos-
> as they have <2192-echo-> the bridegroom <3566- numphios-> with
them, they cannot <1410-dunamai-> fast <3522-nesteuo-> .



20 But the days <2250-hemera-> will come <2064-erchomai- >, when
<3752-hotan-> the bridegroom <3566-numphios-> shall be taken
<0522-apairo-> away <0522-apairo-> from them, and then <5119-
tote-> shall they fast <3522-nesteuo-> in those <1565- ekeinos->
days <2250-hemera->.



21 No <3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis-> also < 2532-kai-> seweth
<1976-epirrhapto-> a piece <1915-epiblema-> of new <0046-
agnaphos-> cloth <4470-rhakos-> on <1909-epi-> an old <3820-
palaios-> garment <2440-himation->: else <1490-ei de me(ge)->
the new <2537-kainos-> piece <4138-pleroma-> that filled <4138-
pleroma-> it up taketh <0142-airo-> away <0142-airo- > from the
old <3820-palaios->, and the rent <4978-schisma-> is made <1096-

22 And no <3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis-> putteth <0906-ballo-

palaios-> bottles <0779-askos->: else <1490-ei de me(ge)-> the
new <3501-neos-> wine <3631-oinos-> doth burst < 4486-rhegnumi->
the bottles <0779-askos->, and the wine <3631-oinos-> is spilled
<1632-ekcheo->, and the bottles <0779-askos-> will be marred

23 And it came <1096-ginomai-> to pass, that he went < 3899-
parapoeruomai-> through <1223-dia-> the corn <4702- sporimos->
fields on <1722-en-> the sabbath <4521-sabbaton-> day; and his
disciples <3101-mathetes-> began <0756-archomai->, as they went
<4160-poieo->, to pluck <5089-tillo-> the ears < 4719-stachus->
of corn <4719-stachus->.



24 And the Pharisees <5330-Pharisaios-> said <3004-lego- > unto
him, Behold <2396-ide->, why <5101-tis-> do <4160- poieo-> they
on <1722-en-> the sabbath <4521-sabbaton-> day that which <3739-
hos-> is not lawful <1832-exesti->?



25 And he said <3004-lego-> unto them, Have ye never < 3763-
oudepote-> read <0314-anaginosko-> what <5101-tis-> David <1138-
Dabid-> did <4160-poieo->, when <3753-hote-> he had <2192-echo->
need <5532-chreia->, and was an hungred <3983-peinao-> , he, and
they that were with him?

epi-> of Abiathar <0008-Abiathar-> the high <0749- archiereus->

but the things which come <1607-ekporeuomai-> out of him, those

41. For whosoever <0302-an-> shall give <4222-potizo- > you a
cup <4221-poterion-> of water <5204-hudor-> to drink <4222-
potizo-> in my name <3686-onoma->, because <3754-hoti- > ye
belong <1510-eimi-> to Christ <5547-Christos->, verily <0281-
amen-> I say <3004-lego-> unto you, he shall not lose <0622-
apollumi-> his reward <3408-misthos->.



42 And whosoever <0302-an-> shall offend <4624- skandalizo-> one
<1520-heis-> of [these <3588-ho->] little <3398- mikros-> ones
that believe <4100-pisteuo-> in me, it is better <3123- mallon->
for him that a millstone <3457-mulikos-> were hanged < 4029-
perikeimai-> about <4012-peri-> his neck <5137- trachelos->, and
he were cast <0906-ballo-> into <1519-eis-> the sea <2281-
thalassa->.



43 And if <1437-ean-> thy hand <5495-cheir-> offend <4624-

it is better <2570-kalos-> for thee to enter <1525- eiserchomai->
into <1519-eis-> life <2222-zoe-> maimed <2948- kullos->, than

Mark 12

14. Afterward <5305-husteron-> he appeared <5319- phaneroo->
unto the eleven <1733-hendeka-> as they sat <0345- anakeimai-> at
<0345-anakeimai-> meat, and upbraided <3679-oneidizo-> them with
their unbelief <0570-apaistia-> and hardness <4641- sklerokardia-
> of heart <4641-sklerokardia->, because <3754-hoti- > they
believed <4100-pisteuo-> not them which had seen <2300- theaomai-
> him after he was risen <1453-egeiro->.



15 And he said <2036-epo-> unto them, Go <4198- poreuomai-> ye
into <1519-eis-> all <0537-hapas-> the world <2889- kosmos->, and
preach <2784-kerusso-> the gospel <2098-euaggelion-> to every
<3956-pas-> creature <2937-ktisis->.



16 He that believeth <4100-pisteuo-> and is baptized < 0907-
baptizo-> shall be saved <4982-sozo->; but he that believeth
<0569-apisteo-> not shall be damned <2632-katakrino->.



17 And these <5023-tauta-> signs <4592-semeion-> shall follow
<3877-parakoloutheo-> them that believe <4100-pisteuo- >; In my
name <3686-onoma-> shall they cast <1544-ekballo-> out devils
<1140-daimonion->; they shall speak <2980-laleo-> with new <2537-
kainos-> tongues <1100-glossa->;



18 They shall take <0142-airo-> up serpents <3789-ophis- >; and
if <2579-kan-> they drink <4095-pino-> any <5100- tis-> deadly
<2286-thanasimos-> thing, it shall not hurt <0984-blapto- > them;
they shall lay <2007-epitithemi-> hands <5495-cheir-> on <1909-
epi-> the sick <0732-arrhostos->, and they shall recover <2573-
kalos->.



19. So <3303-men-> then <3767-oun-> after <3326- meta-> the Lord
<2962-kurios-> had spoken <2980-laleo-> unto them, he was
received <0353-analambano-> up into <1519-eis-> heaven <3772-
ouranos->, and sat <2523-kathizo-> on <1537-ek-> the right <1188-
dexios-> hand of God <2316-theos->.



20 And they went <1831-exerchomai-> forth <1831- exerchomai->,
and preached <2784-kerusso-> every <3837-pantachou-> where <3837-
pantachou->, the Lord <2962-kurios-> working <4903- sunergeo->
with [them], and confirming <0950-bebaioo-> the word < 3056-logos-
> with signs <4592-semeion-> following <1872- epakoloutheo->.
