2John 11. The elder <4245> unto the elect <1588> lady < 2959> and her children <5043>, whom <3739> I love <0025> in the truth <0225>; and not I only <3441>, but also <2532> all < 3956> they that have known <1097> the truth <0225>; 2 For the truth's <0225> sake, which <3588> dwelleth <3306> in us, and shall be with us for ever <0165>. 3 Grace <5485> be with you, mercy <1656>, [and] peace <1515>, from God <2316> the Father <3962>, and from the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>, the Son <5207> of the Father <3962>, in truth <0225> and love <0026>. 4 I rejoiced <5463> greatly <3029> that I found < 2147> of thy children <5043> walking <4043> in truth <0225>, as we have received <2983> a commandment <1785> from the Father <3962>. 5. And now <3568> I beseech <2065> thee, lady < 2959>, not as though I wrote <1125> a new <2537> commandment < 1785> unto thee, but that which <3739> we had <2192> from the beginning <0746>, that we love <0025> one <0240> another <0240>. 6 And this <3778> is love <0026>, that we walk < 4043> after <2596> his commandments <1785>. This <3778> is the commandment <1785>, That, as ye have heard <0191> from the beginning <0746>, ye should walk <4043> in it. 7. For many <4183> deceivers <4108> are entered < 1525> into <1519> the world <2889>, who <3588> confess < 3670> not that Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> is come <2064> in the flesh <4561>. This <3778> is a deceiver <4108> and an antichrist <0500>. 8 Look <0991> to yourselves <1438>, that we lose <0622> not those things which <3739> we have wrought <2038>, but that we receive <0618> a full <4134> reward <3408>. 9 Whosoever <3588> transgresseth <3845>, and abideth <3306> not in the doctrine <1322> of Christ <5547>, hath < 2192> not God <2316>. He that abideth <3306> in the doctrine < 1322> of Christ <5547>, he hath <2192> both <2532> the Father <3962> and the Son <5207>. 10. If <1487> there come <2064> any <1536> unto you, and bring <5342> not this <5026> doctrine <1322>, receive <2983> him not into <1519> [your] house <3614>, neither <3366> bid <3004> him God speed <5463>: 11 For he that biddeth <3004> him God speed <5463> is partaker <2841> of his evil <4190> deeds <2041>. 12. Having <2192> many <4183> things to write < 1125> unto you, I would <1014> not [write] with paper <5489> and ink <3188>: but I trust <1679> to come <2064> unto you, and speak < 2980> face <4750> to face <4750>, that our joy <5479> may be full <4137>. 13 The children <5043> of thy elect <1588> sister <0079> greet <0782> thee. Amen <0281>.
